Unlike most of the collections for the upcoming season, Philip Sparks is not letting the recession deter him from his creative methodology. The Canadian designer’s Fall 2009 line is inspired by Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf and has led him to utilizing fur, flannel lining and quilting. Sparks presents a rich collection “given a Canadian twist in plaid suiting, intarsia knit curling sweaters and traditional blanket coats.”
