iiView A2: Looks Like a MacBook Air, Smells + Feels like More Money in Your Pocket

iiView A2 by iView

iView’s iiView A2 netbook is hitting Singapore next week and it looks very similar to Apple’s MacBook Air. On the outside atleast. Other than coming in a gloss white finish, it’s similar in the fact that it’s sleek, slim in its form. On the inside, however, there’s an ocean of differences, including the fact that it runs Windows 7 RC1 and comes with a Vista license so you can upgrade to W7 when time comes. As far as specs are concerned, they’re not too different than the other netbooks on the market with its Intel Atom processor and 320GB HDD.

iiView A2 also has 2GB RAM, a 12.1-inch display with 1200 x 800-pixel resolution, two USB ports, mini-HDMI port, 2-in-1 headphone/mic jack, and a six-cell battery. With a $467.78 price tag, it just may be the sleekest netbook my eyes have been blessed to see.

A fashion photographer, graphic designer and all-around artist whose work strongly influenced the fashion and collective imagination of the day, Harri Peccinotti coined the Pirelli-calendar idiom of gleaming bodies and strong, sleek sexuality. From his celebrated sunflower for the 1968 Pirelli calendar to his famous nude immersed in a bathtub of green water, H.P. presents a broad selection of shots published in fashion magazines, together with page proofs, book jackets and album covers created by Peccinotti over a period of about 40 years.

Powerhouse Company: Villa 1, Holland

Villa 1, Holland

I personally love beautiful homes in remote locations. The Villa 1 is located in the middle of a forest in Holland, making it the perfect getaway. It looks simple enough from the angle above but wait ’til you get a closer look. The interior of the home is well designed and the garage reminds us of Tony Starks’ home in Iron Man.

Leica Goes Golfing with the Pinmaster Rangefinder

Leica Pinmaster Rangefinder

Known for its solid lineup of cameras, Leica‘s unveiled the Pinmaster Rangefinder, hoping to help golfers get “closest to the pin.” As SwipeLife explains, “closest to the pin” is a contest that involves getting tee shots that make it on the green the closest distance to the flagstick, and is a staple of charity golf tournaments, corporate outings and amateur golf tourneys. “The Pinmaster Rangefinder is a tool that gives golfers the upper hand by measuring the exact distance to the pin. With a range of up to 820 yards, all the user needs to do is aim the Pinmaster’s eye-safe laser beam at the pin. It also features a 7x magnification and a large field view of 347 feet at a distance of 1,000 yards (ideal for playing peeping tom).”

The rangefinder Leica Pinmaster comes standard with a storage pouch, a battery and a cord of transportation for approximately 550 euros.
