Terence Koh x Converse Minimalist Chuck Taylors

Terence Koh x Converse Minimalist Chuck Taylors

Converse’s iconic Chucks may just be the most revivaled sneakers of all time. The low cost coupled with such a uniform high top structure made it an easy investment for any designer. Up until now, Converse’s John Varvatos line offered our favorite pair. Terence Koh changed has changed that with his minimalist rendition. At the release party for the shoes at Opening Ceremony, Terence explained, “I wanted to keep the DNA of the Chuck Taylor intact, while reducing the seams, and smoothing out the shoe’s surfaces as much as possible”. The added bonus is that the pair’s a part of the 1HUND(RED) campaign, so a percentage of sales of these shoes go to fighting AIDS in Africa.

It’s one clean pair and if you want to get it, you can head over to Opening Ceremony‘s LA or NYC location come November 21st. No price yet, but we’re hoping it clocks in around $200, so the decision to buy won’t be too difficult. Hit the jump for more images.
