After plenty of sleepless workdays, we’ve finally assembled our list of top stores in New York City. We covered alot of ground, going from spots down by Bowery all the way up to Columbus Circle. Obviously, not each shop made it, as we’re trying to stay true to our principles. We’re here to deliver tailored content that’s relevant and worth the pixels so if the shop was great on aesthetics and horrible on service, that alone might have disqualified the shop. There aren’t any department stores mentioned because I’m assuming you all know what to expect when you go to Barney’s or Bloomingdale’s.

So that’s really about it, hit the link to check it out and just note that it will be continuously updated as other shops come out of the wood works. We’re also working on a guide for dining as well as one for going out, both for the city that never sleeps. If anyone’s interested in compiling a list for other cities, we’re certainly open to that. NYC Shops [For Men]

The boys in Cupertino have finally officially taken the covers off their newest device. It’ll be called the iPad, a name that’s been floating around for quite sometime. It looks great. The body’s slim, looks pretty comfy in Jobs’ hands. The OS is like an exploded version of the iPhone’s with a few cool features like ability to view YouTube in HD and an email interface with some enhanced aesthetics. Landscape and portrait view are enabled in the majority of uses. You’ve got maps, calendars, built-in iTunes Store, and iPhoto integration with events, places and faces. Movies, TV shows, music videos, audiobooks, just about everything you can watch on your iPhone, you can access through this beauty.

Hardware specs – 1.5 lbs., 0.5 inch thick with a 9.7 inch display, full capacitive multitouch, all powered by the 1GHz Apple A4 chip. Storage can be from 16GB to 64GB of flash memory. The usual suspects are all here – bluetooth 2.1 EDR, accelerometer, compass, WiFi 802.11n, microphone, and speaker. The iPad has a 10-hour battery life with a month of standby time. Wow. (more…)

Folk has had a tremendous amount of success as of late and with their spring collection already hitting stockists, we might as well see what they’re up to. Their Shofolk footwear collection is one to see, as it’s made in a small family owned factory in the heart of shoe making country in North Portugal. They have 60 years experience in hand crafting shoes and this skill combined with leathers imported from Italy really brings character to the shoes. The Lila Nude caught our eye and with good reason. This London-based label managed to really push their creative thinking and the result was this leather Nude with multicoloured contrast stitching. We’re expecting this to really come to form over time but that’s just an assumption we made after realizing it’s a natural leather shell.

Stock on all of the shoes Folk puts out is pretty limited as well so if you dig them, don’t hesitate to pull the trigger.

From Japanese label Hare comes this hooded jacket in a camel finish. The design of the piece is straightforward and clean and looks to present a more simple silhouette. It’s really a perfect jacket for any casual outing when you mix the color and light feel.

The M1 happens to be one of Opening Ceremony‘s prime pieces of footwear and now that the desert boot is available in this light blue finish, what’s there not to like? The spring collection’s solid overall but the M1 steals our hearts, mainly because of the canvas upper. It’s light, and to keep our feet cool and protected from the heat we’ll be experiencing in the coming months, this may be the perfect savior.

While keeping constant the functionality, performance and quality that we’ve come to realize in all of Tumi’s products, these select pieces look to bring a more versatile design with a slimmer silhouette.
