Opening Ceremony Fall 2010 Part II [British Invasion]

For part deuce of their men’s line for the fall, Opening Ceremony imagined an English counterpart to our young Frenchman: a long lost brother born and raised across the channel. More structured Savile Row-inspired tailoring offers a contrast to the softer suits of first delivery. In addition to nods toward traditional English style like tweed hunting gear, waxed jackets, and British military uniforms, the second delivery references a spectrum of Brit youth subcultures including suits in glam rock colors, Mod-inspired parkas for layering over slim jackets and trousers, subtle punk references like pyramid stud buttons, and skinhead fit jeans. Camel cashmere, military-grade wool, waxed twill, high dimension corduroy, fluorescent Fair Isle knits, and other Anglo-centric fabrics comprise the collection.

Expect the second men’s delivery to drop a little later in the fall with plenty of warm weather essentials, including an oversized, long nylon military bomber jacket.

Full collection after the jump.
