In Stock | Beams Plus Spring/Summer 2011Outside Japan, we don’t see Beams Plus hit many stockists and if they do, American buyers are usually shit out of luck. Sweden shop Tres Bien has taken stock of the Japanese brand’s Spring 2011 offerings so you should head over there to see what’s still up for grabs. Some of the pieces worth checking out include the double breasted blazer with polka dot detailing as well as the hooded “Alligator” parka that’s based on an old coat from US-bran Alligator that was around in the 50-60s.

Just yesterday, we brought you a video that went behind the scenes at Red Wing‘s Plant II Factory in Minnesota. Complex.com also did a factory tour a short while back and the result for their Cut & Show series was tremendous. We’re always impressed with how open and welcoming Red Wing is to such documentaries and I think the fact that it’s such a close knit, family-owned company has a lot to do with it.

By the way, I personally am a huge fan of Steven Alan shirts. I bought my first one off Gilt of all places a long time ago and have been purchasing them ever since. There’s my two cents on the matter.

Attention early adopters: Apple’s updated their line of MacBook Pros with some beefed up performance. The aluminum shells remain but one of the standout features is something that most probably haven’t ever heard of. The Thunderbolt port allows you to connect high-performance peripherals and high-res displays to a single port. Transfer rates are theoretically upto 10 Gbps which is just nuts. There aren’t that many Thunderbolt-compatible peripherals out right now but that should change over the coming months.

Canada’s wings + horns crafted these custom hoodie bathrobes exclusively for Ace Hotel. These are definitely a great gift idea but we think you should probably pick one up for yourself. The robes are a cross between an old-style boxing robe and a modern-day hooded sweatshirt. They’re made from super comfortable french terry in Boulder grey and have two front pockets and an oversized hood which features a custom Ace x wings + horns label.
