Lamborghini’s latest bull – the Aventador LP700-4 – was finally unveiled the other day at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show and boy was it worth the way. The Italian automaker’s 6.5L V12 engine dishes out 690 horses at 8,250 rpm and a max torque of 509 lb-ft at 5,500 rpm. Performance is taken to new heights with Lamborghini’s new ISR (Independent Shifting Rod) 7-speed transmission. It’s an automated manual gearbox that minimizes shift times by almost 50 percent than with a dual-clutch transmission. Toss all this together with Lamborghini’s Haldex 4-wheel drive system and output peaks at 0 to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 217 mph.
