Dr. Romanelli a.k.a. ‘Dr. X’ drops their latest capsule collection in collaboration with Japan’s Anachronorm, this time paying homage to Detroit’s auto industry. The steel and factory workers at the turn of the century are the specific focus of the ‘Detroit Steel Works’ collection which delivers some amazing remakes of vintage American work wear.
New Amsterdam is at it again with this two-tone brogue in a full grain tan leather and navy wool paneling. It features a natural brick rubber ridgeway sole just like another version of these longwings we featured a short while back. Other details include the contrast woven laces and a fully leather lined inner.
This tote bag from Maison Martin Margiela is part of the label’s autumn/winter pre-collection and features a soft tan leather shell that’s textured and supple. The simplistic design is what actually sets the bag apart. The two carry handles, front pocket and signature Margiela quad stitch pattern in white give us more reason to grab this bag before our next trip. The inside features a few handy pockets in several sizes as well as a zipped pocket.
We’re in love with floral prints right now as they can be worked in so many different ways during the summer time. This short sleeve version from White Mountaineering is a solid pickup as it features all-over floral print with button fastening on front and cuffs.
Cool Hunting recently sat down with A.P.C. Founder Jean Touitou for an interview worth checking out. Though we covered the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster a few weeks back before its official unveiling, here’s a look at the rag-top convertible in all its glory. The 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster is fitted with a 6.3L V8 front-mid engine that dishes out 563-hp and 479 lb-ft of torque and is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transaxle transmission and a sports suspension with aluminum double wishbones. Utilizing the AMG DRIVE UNIT, the driver is allowed to pick from three different suspension modes including Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus. The fabric soft-top of the 2012 SLS AMG Roadster opens and closes in just 11 seconds and can be operated on the move at speeds of up to 31 mph.
