As you may have noticed, we were reporting live from this month’s PROJECT Tradeshow in New York as part of The Blogger Project organized by Marcus Troy. If the images weren’t enough, here’s a great video that highlights all the outstanding things that were happening at this year’s tradeshow.
This video highlights some of the great initiatives that happened in New York City at PROJECT. The Blogger PROJECT curated by Marcus Troy, the Splashlight Pop Up Studio, the Blind Barber Experience and the MADE by PROJECT.
Expect even greater things to come when we head to Vegas for Project from August 22nd to 24th.

Watchmaker Georg Jensen is known for his simplistic yet well-detailed designs, two of the designer’s finest examples being the Koppel 317 and 318. They’re modern and perfect for just about any occasion, but if you’re looking for the timeless face with a more standout strap, this is perfect. Georg Jensen’s dropped the 317 and 318 with NATO straps to really switch things up. The prices are welcoming and the designs work well with the colorful straps. Really well actually. (via GQ)

WWD’s reporting that Louis Vuitton is releasing Louis Vuitton: Architecture & Interior, a new book that showcases the foundations and structures of its worldwide stores. The book will really dig deep with discussions on window displays and the label’s bag bars to much more in this 304-page book that will feature roughly 300 illustrations including some unpublished architect’s sketches and interviews with Peter Marino, Christian de Portzamparc and Jun Aoki.

44 Club drops another video, this time highlighting the client-agent relationship between Nike and creative agency Wieden+Kennedy out of Portland. The two companies have been working together for nearly 30 years through public relations and advertising effort. Nike’s Ed Elworthy and Nic Owen of Wieden+Kennedy are captured here talking about the longstanding relationship and what it’s meant to their respective firms.

The folks at Selectism recently had the opportunity to take a tour of Bentley’s factory in Crewe, England. In the first part of their coverage, they went inside Bentley Motors’ “Wood Shop”. They profiled how the interior wood paneling inside all Bentley Motor vehicles is produced through a complicated process of materials sourcing and hand crafted design. At Noon EST today, GiltMAN will be launching another watch sale curated by Benjamin Clymer of Hodinkee. Apparently, vintage Rolexes are what the people want so who is Ben to deny the people? This sale’s got 70 vintage Rolex watches on colorful NATO and canvas straps instead of the conventional steel Oyster bracelets or leather ensembles. All watches are priced under $4,000, making this sale even more enticing.

Dockers is introducing their “Alpha” Khaki to the market and they took the brand’s slimmest offerings to the East Village and had the folks at the Blind Barber give them a go. The video’s short but shows the khakis being worn in a real environment by real people. Also, you get a peek inside one of the city’s best barber shops. Win-Win. Video below.

Junya Watanabe COMME des GARCONS MAN is teaming up with Levi’s Vintage Clothing, with the initial collaboration being for these LVC 1954 denims for the Fall 2011 season. These 501s are the original tapered style jeans and feature various materials throughout the patchwork including leather, plaid flannel and corduroy. The corduroy waistband, re-positioned back pockets and an additional center seam down the back of the leg add to the fine detailings of these denims.

Michael Williams over at ACL has been dropping Italian gem after gem as of late. Here, he gives us a preview of what to expect from Napoli’s Salvatore Piccolo and the designer’s Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Piccolo’s known for making hand made shirts for an impressive clientele across Europe, the U.S. and Japan, but he also makes a small collection of OTR shirts and ties in his factory in Napoli.
