BMW has announced the launch of a new tour which gives viewers the opportunity to see all 17 automobiles designed as part of the BMW Art Car Series. Seventeen of the world’s most famous artists worked to create this collection including Jeff Koons, Andy Warhol, Jenny Holzer, Frank Stella, and more. For the first time, an extensive virtual overview of the origin, history and development of the collection is available on the Internet.

The canvas upper works well with the suede accents and signature tri-color detailing and really is one of the better versions of this classic backpack we’ve seen in recent memory. The design’s so simplistic but utilization of some solid materials and fitting it with unique details is what sets it apart.
On September 22, 2011 in Monaco, Harry Winston will be offering up this one-off Midnight GMT Tourbillon as part of this year’s Only Watch charity auction. The bezel discreetly bears three distinctive arches of the Harry Winston’s New York Salon atop a platinum case crafted exclusively for Only Watch. The detailing and features are immense as this 45mm beauty features a mechanical bidirectional automatic movement with a 110-hour power reserve. The tourbillon positioned at 6 o’clock carries the small seconds display, while the GMT display at 9 o’clock is enriched with a day/night indication. The 11 o’clock aperture indicates the cities representing the timezone, with Monaco being included in the mix in tribute to the Only Watch event.
Here we have a look at a new duffel bag from Maison Martin Margiela’s Fall 2011 collection. It comes in an olive green suede shell with a vegetable tanned leather base and straps. HBO’s dropped an extended trailer for Entourage‘s final season as it gets set to hit the station July 24th. These will be the final 8 episodes of the show and from this short video, there’s a lot to be excited about, folks.
Tom Ford’s Fall 2011 lookbook has been released, giving us a look at the designer’s product for the upcoming winter seasons. This collection is as amazing as you’d expect from Mr. Ford with plenty of fine detailing and utilization of all the proper fabrics. “Note the big shoulders, wide lapels, and pants with big cuffs and wide leg openings.” I think many will oppose this look right now but we’re expecting this to be extremely wearable in the months ahead. It’s a solid mix and if the suiting won’t appeal, the outerwear most certainly will. (via DW)
Mercedes-Benz AMG has released a new line of accessories available in a carbon-fiber theme. Among the goods are t-shirts with “bacteria-inhibiting carbon fibers” and luggage that feature much of the same materials. Chris from egmCarTech also points out the availability of handcrafted models of AMG cars like the S65, CL65 and SLS AMG through brands such as Kyosho and AutoArt.
Earlier this week, custom clothier Seize sur Vingt hosted the American Le Mans Series Teams at their Greene Street boutique in celebration of the Northeast Grand Prix Lime Rock. The folks brought along their cars as well with a full-on takeover of the block. In attendance were Extreme Speed Motorsports, Genoa Racing and 12 year old go-kart champ Santino Ferrucci. A Ferrari 458 Italia, Ferrari California, Ford GT, Aston Martin DB4 and a white on white 1987 Turbo Esprit Lotus were also brought to the scene.
