Google’s newly unveiled Nexus Q is essentially the internet giant’s answer to the Apple TV. It streams your favorite entertainment directly from the cloud to your living room but axes the onscreen interface. Everything’s controlled from a compatible phone or tablet with media streaming in from your Google Play and YouTube apps. The design is simplistic with a sphere-like shell and only a few discreet ports on the back to plug into your speakers, AV receiver or HDTV. Once you’re playing, you can control the volume from your handheld device, or simply by turning the top half of Nexus Q. Just touch the top LED to mute the sound completely. The Google Nexus Q is priced at $299 with availability via pre-order through Google.
There’s a ton of street style photography taking place during the fashion week and tradeshow circuits but MR PORTER‘s opted to hold off on stills and give us a video that highlights some of the top accessories spotted at this past week’s Milan Fashion Week. “Whether on faces or feet, the men at Milan Fashion Week have been adding a spot of sprezzatura with their accessories. See a few that caught our eye.” Check out the video below.
Lana Del Rey drops the official video for “National Anthem” which comes off her debut album Born to Die. The visual features the songstress playing Jacqueline Kennedy and none other than A$AP Rocky making an appearance as former President John F. Kennedy. The art direction and attention to detail is really epic and the seven-minute video is worth checking out just for that.
Dazed Digital gives us shots from Mark McNairy’s S/S 2013 lookbook. The New Amsterdam collection for next year is looking quite promising as it blends some modern styling atop classic staples with which the New York designer’s name is synonymous. Here’s McNairy’s line of the year:
Formal tailoring has stuck around for a reason. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, but if you don’t have fun then you shouldn’t be fuckin’ doing it.
With that being said, the unconventional blend of fabrics and prints is like a breath of fresh air to a menswear spectrum that seems a bit too “by the book” at times. More imagery can be found below.
Here, we have looks at Onia’s Summer ’12 lookbook. The imagery showcases the brand’s men’s and boy’s lines side by side as a father and son duo hit the water for some fun in the sun. Onia trunks come in a few different styles — Calder 7.5″, Calder 10″, the classic Charles, and the Amaury board short. Each one fits to its own mold and really drives the quality and detailing of each short home. More looks from the Summer 2012 lookbook below with the collection available now through Onia.

During this month’s Milan Fashion Week, Boglioli presented their S/S ’13 menswear collection in a converted factory space. The offerings ranged from their signature unconstructed jackets, garment dyed suiting and casual, tailored staples while the event featured food and drink prepared by legendary figures of classic Italian menswear including Nino Cerruti (owner of Cerruti 1884), Lucian Barbera (of Luciano Barbera), and Mario Boglioli himself.
The Spring 2013 collection draws inspiration from two American gentlemen of the 1920′s: Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald, icons of a sophisticated and timeless class. Classic elements of elegance are re-interpreted by Boglioli in a contemporary key with the addition of refined and sought-after elements.
