Porsche has unveiled the 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S, two rear-engine monsters that make the 40th anniversary of the 911 a memorable one. It looks great and the performance numbers are phenomenal. The turbocharged, 3.8-liter flat-six engine makes use of twin, variable-turbine-geometry turbos. For the standard Turbo, we’re talking output of 520 horsepower, a 0-60 mph time of 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 196 mph. Porsche’s Turbo S delivers 560 horsepower, 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 198 mph. Porsche’s seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox handles everything and helps the Turbo deliver a Nürburgring time of under 7 and a half minutes. The wide body design for this generation of Turbo is really something else. It’s 1.1-inches wider than a Carrera 4 with hugely flared rear fenders. The Turbo S stands out with its standard full-LED headlight.Look out for a deployable, three-stage front spoiler, and a three-way rear wing.
