The good folks at Hodinkee are dishing out some impeccable coverage around SIHH and here’s a look AP’s 2014 collection of 42mm Royal Oak Offshores, the biggest upgrade to the lineup in recent years. Six new models will be replacing the current lineup, each with a several new details and changes to the cases and dials. These new beauties also feature sapphire case backs and the introduction of black ceramic accents in place of the rubber details of the older models. The dials have a more refined look to them now and the hands are now faceted, which gives the dial a brighter look that is very easy to read at a glance.
Of the six new models, four come in steel and two in rose gold. Hodinkee tells us the steel case can be paired with a navy and white, black and red, grey-on-grey, or “Safari” dial, all of which are accented by the black ceramic pushers. The rose-gold models both feature rose gold dials with black accents, but one is on a black alligator strap and the other on a solid rose-gold bracelet. All the straps feature tang buckles instead of the deployant claps found on the previous Offshores.
The new Royal Oak Offshore 42mm collection will be available this April.
