Hidden Treasure | Mario Righini’s Private Car Collection

Petrolicious had the pleasure of traveling to Castello di Panzano Castelfranco Emilia right outside of Modena, Italy. Inside is one of the finest private automotive collections in the world, filled with iconic coaches like Alfa’s Tazio Nuvolari’s 8C 2300, many Lancias (including a Stratos), important Formula 1 cars, and the very first car that Enzo Ferrari built after departing Alfa Romeo, the only Auto Avio Costruzioni (AAC) Type 815, which was raced in the Mille Miglia by famous driver Alberto Ascari. The owner of this collection is Mario Righini, who lives at the castle with his family. Many of the cars came to his father’s scrap yard during World War II though he noticed many didn’t need to be destroyed at all.

The collection’s amassed and can found throughout the estate’s courtyard as well as horse stables with many others traveling the world for various showings. This video takes us back into time and showcases some of the most prestigious vehicles this world has ever seen.
