If you want a piece of music history, this vintage custom 1970’s Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow owned by Johnny Cash should get on your radar. The story behind it is that it was originally purchased by ABC TV in the ’70’s and given to Cash during The Johnny Cash Show run. Cash sold it in the mid-80’s and now it’s set to go on auction this month. Take Johnny out of the equation and it’s a beautiful car with it’s black finish and detailing. Under the hood, you’ve got a twin-carbureted 412 CID aluminum V8 engine with only 32,000 miles on it that sits atop an independent front and rear suspension and tamed with four-wheel disc brakes. Now add the fact that Johnny Cash once owned this, and both Cash and car fans alike will want to be a part of the bidding war. The man in black’s 1970 Rolls-Royce will go up for auction at the 2014 Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas auction from September 25 to 27.
