BMW has announced the launch of a new tour which gives viewers the opportunity to see all 17 automobiles designed as part of the BMW Art Car Series. Seventeen of the world’s most famous artists worked to create this collection including Jeff Koons, Andy Warhol, Jenny Holzer, Frank Stella, and more. For the first time, an extensive virtual overview of the origin, history and development of the collection is available on the Internet.

Mercedes-Benz AMG has released a new line of accessories available in a carbon-fiber theme. Among the goods are t-shirts with “bacteria-inhibiting carbon fibers” and luggage that feature much of the same materials. Chris from egmCarTech also points out the availability of handcrafted models of AMG cars like the S65, CL65 and SLS AMG through brands such as Kyosho and AutoArt.

A.P.C. has opened the doors to its seventh retail shop in its hometown of Paris, this one being situated at 23 Rue Royale, steps away from some of the French capital city’s finest retail destinations including Chanel, Loro Piana and Moncler. The A.P.C. store was designed by Laurent Deroo, the architect behind London’s Dover Street Market and Hong Kong’s Icehouse. Look for the St. Honoré shop to house A.P.C.’s full line of men’s and women’s collections alongside shoes, accessories and more.

While there was much speculation about the release date of Watch the Throne, the highly anticipated collaborative studio album between artists Jay-Z and Kanye West, it appears as though fans may have to wait a little longer to actually get their hands on it. Rumor had it that the album was set to drop worldwide on July 4 but, as of yesterday evening, Watch the Throne has been made available for pre-order through Kanye West’s official website as well as www.watchthethrone.com. With golden cover art designed by Givenchy creative director Riccardo Tisci, the album is currently being offered in standard, deluxe and MP3 versions.

This past week, Stone Island opened the doors to their new Paris flagship store. The 80 square-meter store located in the heart of the Parisian capital was subject to an intense renovation plan. While the merchandising is entirely displayed on the ground floor, the double-leveled glass façade is articulated on two floors and offers a strong exterior visual impact. The store opened with the FW 2011/2012 collections of Stone Island and Stone Island Shadow.
