In hopes of getting an internationally known name in the Burj Dubai tower, representatives have approached soccer star and Armani model David Beckham. Currently, the Burj Dubai tower is the world’s tallest building and there will be 144 Armani-designed units in the building, with one quite possibly going to Beckham.

Pinapple Express is a bromance flick at its finest. It teams up a subpoena server (Seth Rogan) and his drug dealer (James Franco) for an extremely hilarious set of events. James Franco does one heck of a job playing a part we’d never expect from him, gaining some much needed cred.

Probably not. But Planet Mat seems to think that an external keyboard is something the iPhone desperately needs. As much as we personally disagree with this, we do think that the design they came up with isn’t half bad. It can double as a case, too.

You probably haven’t heard of Candice Swanepoel and that’s probably because she comes from the most unlikely of places. Candice is a 20-year-old model from South Africa and was born in Mooi River, KwaZulu-Natal, and was scouted at the age of 15 in a Durban flea market.

By 16, she was raking in 5,000 euros per photo shoot and has graced the cover of the Greek Vogue. She’s worked for Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria’s Secret, and Diane von Fürstenberg.

There are ten movies coming out this year that we just can’t wait to see. From two movies starring Christian Bale to Denzel Washington and Tony Scott teaming up again for another thriller, this year’s playing host to a solid lineup of flicks.

It was a close poll as one Olympic star edged out another to be voted 2008’s Athlete of the Year by the international media. Journalists from 96 nations gave Bolt a narrow edge of 1,673 points to 1,557 over Phelps.

Bolt set three world records as he grabbed three golds in the 100 meters, 200 and 400 relay. Phelps claimed the Water Cube in Beijing with his eight gold medals and his place in history.

Quentin Tarantino’s long-gestating WWII epic Inglorious Bastards finally sees the light of day with this re-envisioning of Enzo Castellari’s violent war film from 1977. The Weinstein Co. is scheduling the movie to release on August 21st, an unlikely choice of weekends.

This past August 22 saw the release of Death Race, The House Bunny and The Longshots, none of which I took the time to see. Tarantino has already stated that he wants to screen Basterds at the Cannes Film Festival in May, so we assume some sort of cut will be finished by then.

One million people packed in to Times Square last night and boy did they leave a mess. The confetti and noisemakers plus all the other garbage people left equated to an estimated 40 tons.

After the ball dropped, the workers got busy and started cleaning up. Over a 150 people worked until 8 am before another shift arrived to tidy up. The 25 mph winds didn’t help.
