Thanks to folks like James Dean, the black leather jacket will always be a menswear classic. For all those rebels without causes out there Bedwin has the Dulfer motorcycle jacket. Sheepskin leather exterior, cotton interior lining, and classic asymmetrical zipper front pretty much the only thing it doesn’t come with is a motorcycle. The fit is definitely slim so be prepared to break one of these bad boys in, preferably in a white t-shirt and some raw denim.
In case you didn’t know, here’s a visual that shows you how to tie a Four-In-Hand tie knot with perfection. Thanks to the folks at General Knot & Co. for their time dedication to this.
Tricker’s is known for taking traditional styles and taking them to the next level and they did just that with the Bourton brogue. Suede brogue uppers combined with the sole of a combat boot make these shoes anything but traditional. These definitely aren’t for everybody and that’s part of what makes them so intriguing. They most certainly are not delicate so don’t be afraid to beat them up a little bit. Pair them with slim trousers with a 2 inch cuff, a sport shirt, and unstructured blazer for a fit that is anything but ordinary.
Though we’ve had the opportunity to visit Michael Williams from ACL on numerous occasions, we still enjoy watching the man get his well-deserved shine. The one thing you see during this sit down with Tyler and Josh of the Gilt MANual is that he doesn’t take himself too seriously. He enjoys what he does and all the recognition and respect that come with it are just bonuses.
This is out MANual Minute we wished was much longer. Check out the video below.
We have really enjoyed how Bonobos has expanded their arsenal over the past few years. One of the key players in this expansion has been Oliver Spencer. The British designer has done everything from outerwear to t-shirts, but they have really knocked their shirting out of the park. Bonobos has teamed up with Oliver Spencer to create an exclusive collection of shirting essentials: solids, stripes, and plaids meant to go from the office to happy hour with ease.
This cropped trench coat from Kill City is really well designed and features some authentic military detailing such as double breasted closure, epaulets and a fold down collar with buckle closure at the neck. The olive shell stands out as well and at this price point, a great deal is to be had.
Repeat after me: Grail status. Alden, the shoemaker of the hour, has just upped the ante on their classic Indy boot with the Milkshake Pull-Up Work Boot. Made from a luxurious yet durable taupe calf suede, they have all of the details that we have come to love from Alden. While fall is a few months away, we will be stashing away our summer paper route money for a pair of these.
The LVC Sunset Coat is like the lovechild of your favorite, beat-up trucker jacket and a casual summer blazer. Straight out of the Levi’s archives from their Sunset Clothing line, it has a four button front, three patch pockets, and a relaxed classic fit. This is the type of jacket that, while not for everybody, can become a solid statement piece.
The Mackintosh x Converse collaboration was announced not too long ago and we’re excited to see the product beginning to hit select shops. The Jack Purcell Johnny sneaker is did up in the traditional waterproof rubberized cloth from Mackintosh. The shoes come in navy, putty and dark olive with contrasting interiors and clean, matching laces and a contrasting set as well.
This is real and will go down as one of our favorite collabs in quite sometime. Don’t hesitate to pull the trigger.
The popular menswear shop UNIONMADE is making big moves as they have opened another location in Santa Monica. While their San Francisco home base still remains, this second location shows that there’s no end in sight for the growth of quality menswear retailers.
