From Pitti 2011 comes this in-depth look at Adam Kimmel’s forthcoming collaboration with Carhartt. The collection launches this coming fall for F/W 2011 seasons and these looks give us a glimpse into what the duo will offer up for next spring. “The upcoming SS12 line plays mostly with black, beige and of course the signature blue tones of the New York designer. Made up of t-shirts, crewneck sweaters, jackets, blazers, as well as some mesh caps, it would not be a Kimmel collection without a couple of reversible pieces as well. ” (via highsnobiety)
California’s Marina del Rey neighborhood inspired the latest collection from Warriors of Radness. Some of our favorite pieces from the label are showcased here including nylon swim trunks in an array of finishes, broken-in graphic tees, outstanding tanks and well-fitting khakis.
Surely the highlight of this year’s Pitti Uomo, Scott Sternberg and Co. at Band of Outsiders really swung for the fences with their Spring/Summer 2012 presentation as they payed homage to West Side Story. The presentation was Broadway-esque with modern American clothing featured on models and real dancers. The gear itself looked amazing as well as we’ll be in for a treat come next spring. There’s plenty of lightweight cottons being utilized throughout the line and the outerwear and suiting are definitely atop the list of recipients.
The iconic Gucci loafer is offered this summer in tan leather with a green and red web insert as well as full leather lining. The Italian construction of these shoes has been highlighted before and with good reason. The time dedicated to making each and every shoe is immense and this shows in the final result. MR PORTER has this shoe in black as well.
Here’s an editorial featuring Dior Homme’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection and found exclusively in Fashionisto Print‘s Issue No. 1. “Photographed by Richard Pier Petit and styled by James M. Rosenthal, Wilhelmina model Jacques Naude brings out the refined aspects of a semi-raw spring collection from Dior Homme designer Kris Van Assche.” More looks from the spread below.
If you thought McNasty was going to be slowing down anytime soon, think again. The famed designer’s Spring 2012 collection is on display this week at Pitti and there’s a lot to anticipate. The footwear is looking promising once again with a full range of styles being offered including a dark suede brogue that sits atop a wooden sole and Goodyear construction. Some of the styles come with some choice words engraved on the bottom of the shoe (see image below).
Haversack has released shots from its S/S 2012 lookbook ahead of the Pitti Uomo preview, but we’re sure that will only increase the floods of people checking out the Japanese label’s goods in person. The styling of the pieces is very forward as we’re seeing slim-fitting blazers with relaxed trousers but the showcased product is still tremendous. (via WATM)
GQ caught up with GANT Rugger head designer Christopher Bastin at this year’s Pitti Uomo show in Florence, Italy. When describes the trend for Spring/Summer 2012 as elegent, preppy and American, but with Japanese influences. Check out the video below for a look at the collection for next year.
With Pitti Uomo 2011 now in full motion, first shots from the streets of Florence have emerged. Nam of StreetsFSN has some amazing street style shots that we think are worth checking out. Stay tuned to the site as it will be continuously updating over the next few days with new images. We’ve handpicked a few of our favorites which you can check out below.
This past weekend, I made my first trip out to Chicago and had the opportunity to take a few pieces from Lexdray‘s Classified Collection along for the ride. Two of the brand’s premier products — the Tahoe Duffel and Boulder Backpack — were my companions for the trip and I honestly don’t think I’d want it any other way. One of the first things that stood out to us when we got turned to Lexdray is the brand’s ability to make travel bags that are functional to the tenth degree and aesthetically pleasing as well.
