Mark McNairy drops another amazing brogue exclusively for Norse Projects, this time utilizing pebbled leather and British Millerain throughout the upper. The Ridgeway sole works well against the tan grain upper and woven leather laces.
These sneakers, like much of Raf Simons’s footwear, is a fusion of classic style with modern design elements. Featuring a leather, Chuck Taylor-esque base the Strapped Hi-Top Sneaker has an elastic band that wraps from behind the heel around the front of the shoe and a zipper closure on the heel. The atypical nature of these sneakers make them a perfect accent piece for a more understated or traditional casual outfit.
Tommy Hilfiger has announced the launch of Prep World, a Spring/Summer 2011 limited edition capsule collection for men and women. A Pop-Up House landed in the middle of New York City’s Meatpacking District a few days back and will be open to the public through the weekend before traveling to Paris, London, Stockholm, Los Angeles, Madrid, Milan, Sylt, Germany and Knokke, Belgium over the next few months.
Though not a completed project just yet, we’re about six months out from the official unveiling of the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster at this year’s International Automobile Show in Frankfurt. It will be the second car independently developed by the AMG division of M-Benz and follows some of the same ethos as its Gullwing brethren. The two-seater Roadster will feature a fabric soft top instead of a retractable hard top, which many are expecting. After seeing these shots, we actually dig the soft top.

If you’re looking for some inspiration for adding a splash of color to your wardrobe, check out the shots from the Bright Futures editorial from Essential Homme. Bright colors are utilized throughout from yellow and blue blazes to green and orange trousers. Be warned, some of the styling is a bit eccentric but it’s still something to check out.
Here’s another fine release from Yuketen for S/S ’11. For the warmer seasons, a pair of black boat shoes is such a perfect pickup but we like these even more so. They’re made from leather throughout and feature hand stitched upper with contrasting details.
In the last few years, the number of brogues with workwear soles has increased dramatically and I for one am a fan. When one is attempting to wear trousers and ties in casual settings, shoes like the Grenson Archie can help maintain that casual feel without completely throwing off the look like sneakers might. You already know you are getting top notch construction and materials with Grenson as well as one of the hottest footwear styles of the moment.
Acura and Studio Dror recently collaborated on a limited-edition desk inspired by the automaker’s role in Thor, the new Marvel film that’s due out May 6th. The S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Desk features a graphite and light wood base with subtle insignia on legs. The Acura TL’s chassis inspires the finish and the overall aesthete of the desk is very refined. We like the clean look of it all like the concealed Bose speakers and secret drawers and compartments. There’s also a discreet iPhone/iPad docking station.
