Mona Kuhn x James Perse: Limited Edition Printed V Neck

Born in Sao Paulo, Mona Kuhn is an artist who currently resides in Los Angeles. Her photographic artwork has led to a collaboration with another LA native, James Perse. 

Using inspiration from her monotypes, the duo has come up with 8 limited edition screen prints, which include 5 V necks and 3 relaxed scoop tanks.

One Maserati we missed at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show was their carbon fiber bicycle. The extraordinary bicycle was built using steel, aluminum and carbon-fiber by renowned Italian manufacturer Milani. The bicycle can be suited to different purposes- one for speed and racing (Veloce), and one for more leisurely uses (Turismo), according to the client’s needs. (more…)

Spring 2009: Paul & Joe

Not sure how some people might respond to this one but I guess we’ll have to see, amiright? Paul & Joe’s S/S 2009 collection is filled a whole lot of inconsistency diversity, something we’re happy to see at times. For this season’s line, the label’s using black, gray, khaki, and white to serve as backgrounds for their wide legged high waist pants, piping, pleats, and plaid.

They sure know how to bring the seventies back. Reminiscent of campy sailors, Oriental exoticism, beach bums and Ivy League scholars, Paul & Joe’s latest collection is sure to have something for everyone.

Jack Spade x Jimbo the Mechanic: Jack and Jimbo’s Bike Shop on Bleecker

Selectism has put us on to Jack Spade’s new retail concept in collaboration with Jimbo the Mechanic, Rapha cycling gear, and Landmark Bikes. Jack and Jimbo’s Bike Shop is a 600 sq ft store off Bleecker Street in the West Village that features select pieces from the renowned Rapha cycling collection as well as vintage bicycles from Landmark Vintage Bicycle Shop. On the other side of the shop, expect to see season Jack Spade products including bags, accessories, and an edited selection of ties, outerwear, and apparel.
