Here’s something unique from Swedish brand Nudie Jeans. The brand’s been exploring opportunities to be more eco-friendly and this started a few seasons back when they introduced a line of organic denims to their mix of offerings. Now, they’ve started to turn worn out or destroyed denim into recycled rugs. The result’s outstanding as the Post Recycled Denim Rugs are made from worn-out Nudie Jeans. Each rug is produced by cutting used denim into serrated strips that are then sewn together and rolled. All pieces are produced in Turkey and be available exclusively at Nudie Jeans House in Los Angeles and Nudie Jeans Concept Stores worldwide with a price tag of $599 USD.

As Shades of Grey by Micah Cohen continues to hit retail shelves for S/S ’13, the designer has taken the liberty of putting together some looks on location in his hometown of Los Angeles, highlighting different themes within the collection. And that’s one thing we’ve always appreciated about Shades of Grey – the brand’s ability to deliver a cohesive, yet versatile product lineup consistently season over season. For the current season, you’ll see the “Expect the Unexpected” image set shed light on the collection’s rich mix of patterns, layering options and bring spring colors that inspired the collection — tie dyes, ikats, bandana prints, tees under suits and more.

The 2014 Cadillac CTS was officially unveiled earlier today and we were at the press conference to see this beauty in person. The luxury sedan furthers the brand’s Art & Science philosophy as it looks to deliver a longer, leaner aesthetic, reflective of its lightweight, driver-focused ethos. You may notice the CTS takes much inspiration from the highly successful Cadillac ATS, which we had the opportunity to review earlier this month. The new CTS is about five inches longer, with a roofline, hood line and windshield base all about an inch lower, emphasizing a long dash-to-axle proportion that enhances the car’s athletic appearance. The front end is aggressive and feature Cadillac’s signature bold vertical lighting elements. Included in this are LED front signature lighting details which evolve with headlamps that flow up and with the hood line. The headlamp housings incorporate crystalline LED light guides in the upper and lower forward corners and also serve as daytime running lamps.

We recently had the opportunity to review one of Odin New York’s latest fragrances — No 08 Seylon. The scent’s harvested from Sri Lanka with an authentic interpretation of pure vetiver. Perfumer Phillipe Romano has done an exceptional job with his latest creation, laying the watery crispness of fresh yuzu follwed by the tartness of bitter orange and bergamot. The middle notes of spicy nutmeg and the absinth-aroma of wormwood blent with a rich base of warm benzoin, damp oakmoss and the soft earthiness of calming vetiver.
No 08 Seylon is a very inviting scent in my option. It’s not overbearing and though it lasts throughout the day, the citrus/vetiver blent works effortlessly and gives it some versatility.

Cadillac. Every time we here at Por Homme think of the GM brand, some of the first things that jump out at us are their cars’ undeniable comfort, the love for their V-Series performance vehicles and their prominence in classic American media (think Vinny’s ’62 Cadillac “Series 62″ convertible). We recently had the opportunity to take the 2013 Cadillac ATS for a spin and pondered the about the first — how do we really test the comfort of this car? Well, going on a road trip we thought would do the trick and it most certainly did. Cadillac tossed us the keys the AWD 2.0L Turbo Premium model as we embarked on a twelve-hour drive to Atlanta. Along the way, we stopped a few times to re-up on fuel and food but it all went by much faster than we originally anticipated.
The ATS is Cadillac’s compact luxury sedan and matches up quite nicely against its German competition — the BMW 3-series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. This isn’t a shrunken version of the CTS that the American automaker tossed together just to compete directly with the cars mentioned above. In fact, design work began with zero inspiration from the CTS and a few key goals — keep it compact and lightweight, with near 50/50 weight distribution as well as rear- and all-wheel drive. All is accomplished without sacrificing design or comfort.

Introducing the new Aston Martin Rapide S, a welcomed upgrade to one of the finest four-door sports cars on the market. The Rapide S gets subtle enhancements in design as well as a range of performance upgrades starting with the introduction of the all-new Rapide Gen 4 AM11 engine, the most technologically advanced, most powerful Rapide engine the British coach maker has ever built. It’s all in the numbers — a sprint time of only 4.9 secs, 457 lb-ft of torque and potent power of 550 horses – an increase of more than 17% over our previous model. The Rapide S also accomplishes a near perfect 48:52 front / rear weight distribution without any compromise in design or features. The latest iteration of the Rapide features a new rear deck profile which enhances aerodynamics as well as a new full-face aluminium grille honed as a single piece by hand which creates a striking front profile.
The 2014 Aston Martin Rapide S is set to hit showrooms this summer with a price set around the $200,000 mark.
