Not sure if anyone noticed but it was pretty cold this morning (and still is). I got up and went scarf hunting like there’s no tomorrow. One of my favorite scarves in my current arsenal is a wool blend beauty from Original Penguin’s Fall 2011 collection. The only sensible thing to do was jump on their site and see what they have going for Fall 2011 and well, I would not disappointed. This cotton blend scarf caught my eye. It features a Jacquard Penguin print and looks to be the perfect pickup. The navy and white throughout really make it a bit more versatile and the print is phenomenal. Impulse buy anyone?

Japanese label The SoloIst and Los Angeles-based Oliver Peoples have teamed up once again for a small collection of eyewear. In total, three different styles will be available, with each dropping in two gradient colorways — black and light brown. As you’ll see from the shots above (and below), there’s a more classical style that’s been crafted and one that’s a bit more modern as well to appeal to a wider range of folks out there. The frames are set to drop in early Spring 2012 to the Japan/Asian market, though you can expect a small quantity to hit Oliver Peoples Boutiques as well.

Saturdays NYC has done a remarkable job bringing the surfing lifestyle to the New York fashion scene. We’ve been fans since they first landed about two years ago and really think feel that they make some of the most wearable, easy going products on the market. For their Fall 2011 collection, they got a hold of photographer Clarke Tolton and used Maine’s beautiful landscape as the backdrop. Hoodies are plenty in this collection though we spotted one with warmer lining, making it an ideal piece that will be suitable late into fall. More looks below. (via HUH)

Dutch brand Denham and musician James Lavelle have teamed up for the Advisor Parka for Spring 2012. It’s a modern take on the classic M65 Fishtail Parka — old-school shell with new-age fabrics. The parka features a indigo rubberized nylon body made from Italy, and fitted with hand-painted details. It’s lined with seersucker, has plenty of pockets for easy storage and a hint of sweater material from the Canadian army. With the parka also comes headphones released in association with audio label Frends.

Porsche unveiled the new Panamera GTS at the L.A. Auto Show, giving it 30 horsepower over the Panamera S for a total of 430 from the same 4.8-liter V8 engine. Torque’s been bumped up from 369 to 384 and the AWD traction is met with Porsche’s seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters to boot. It’s slightly lower to the ground than the Panamera S and features larger front brake rotors, with overall 0 to 60 time at less than 4.3 seconds. The aesthetic enhancements are plenty on the Panamera GTS, with black trim being seen throughout the exterior and the sport exhaust system getting matte black tailpipes. On the inside, the GTS is fitted with sport seats and a cabin detailed in Alcantara, even the steering wheel.

No word yet on pricing or availability but let’s hope the Porsche Panamera GTS hits showrooms this coming year.

Here we have a look at Parisian label Sandro Homme‘s Fall 2011 collection. For the first time, they will be available at Selfridges in London (starting next week). Founders Didier and Evelyne Chetrite opened their first shop in the Marais district of Paris and have since passed the role of creative director onto their son Ilan Chetrite. He’s done an exceptional job with the F/W 2011 offerings, blending 1960s Rock N’ Roll with contemporary elegance to deliver a modern line that’s equal parts formal and casual. The pieces features top quality leathers and skins as well as knitwear items made from cashmere and wool.
