From Burberry’s Prorsum collection for F/W comes this Italian-made orange leather tote bag. The design is a modern take on a classic tote as it features two handles, two internal patch pockets as well as one internal zipped pocket. There’s plenty of space for your day-to-day goods like laptop, camera, books and maybe even a few outfits if you’re running away for the weekend. The metal feet keep this rich leather off the ground while the subtle black trimming throughout the bag really give the bag some added detail.
Starting today, the wall of the Mondrian SoHo in New York features a permanent outdoor installation of photographs by Sol LeWitt, entitled: SOL LEWITT: On the Walls of the Lower East Side. The installation consists of 120 photographs of New York’s Lower East Side shot by LeWitt in 1979. The grid is grouped in threes that have been printed on vinyl and installed on a wall measuring 20-feet high by 60-feet wide. The Sol LeWitt installation is by the Lafayette entrance to the hotel and is a completely new venture for the Morgans Hotel Group as they launch a new initiative to further enhance the guest experience through their relationship with art.

To showcase their Holiday 2011 collection, GANT Rugger commissioned Noah Emrich of NOVH fame to shoot the lookbook. He brought on some of his close friends to sport the looks including photographer Justin Chung (you might remember him from The All-American Shoot), Nico Lazaro of The Bengal Stripe, Sean Hotchkiss of The GQ Eye and PH friend William Yan. Two ladies also got into the mix — Nicole Loher (above) and Julia Jacobson. Some of our favorite pieces include the salt and pepper crew neck sweater Nicole’s wearing as well as the Country Twill and Herringbone blazer, Tinkering Twill button down and Puffer Waistcoat.
The lookbook is featured below, while the product is available for consumption now at GANT Rugger.

Some of the brands in the mix include White Mountaineering, Patrik Ervell, Soulland, S2A, and Dana Lee.

From Best Made Company comes their Famous Red Blanket made from Pendleton wool. “Our search for the perfect red wool blanket began out of necessity, and ended with the design and fabrication of our very own. Woven into the lower corner of our two-tone red blanket is the Best Made adjective (famous), which is framed with the four stripes that represent our C.C.G.F. mantra, and there are even subtle hash marks to guide a precision fold. The dead center of the blanket is emblazoned with our signature X, which marks the spot.” It looks phenomenal and is fitted with plenty of details while the fabric is nothing short of exceptional. Here we have a look at R.Newbold and their Fall/Winter 2011 offerings. The Japanese label looks to have a solid lineup, with some amazing outerwear pieces in the mix to really drive the collection. For Fall 2011, they’ve even collaborated with Barbour to really take things next level. They’ve reworked the M-51 parka jacket and given it a raised hood placket and leather detailings. One piece from the Barbour collaboration that really stands out is the shorter jacket which features subtle polka dot patchwork print. The duffle coat seen below is exceptional as it’s got all the makings of a classic with a blue stripe towards the bottom to stir things up. (via The189)
