I’m hearing it’s snowing back in New York. Leffot‘s taken stock of these boots from Alden in case the trend continues. The classic 405 design is entirely new, with added traction for slippery surfaces and a lighter weight for added versatility and mobility. The smooth brown cowhide is really outstanding and the lugged soles are good year ’round, rain or shine.
Here’s another Leffot exclusive for you all. Steve and co. have teamed up with New England’s Alden to deliver their classic Longwing Blucher style in Color 8 and Black Shell Cordovan finishes. The leathers were tanned by the fine folks at Horween Leather Company out of Chicago and are nothing short of perfect. The Black Shell Cordovan version is really something else as it features red lining that creeps out in a very subtle manner, giving the shoe an added touch. Both styles can be had through Leffot.
Alden releases their Naval Boot in Horween Shell Cordovan, bringing a timeless design that’s reminiscent of vintage US Naval boots. The black shell cordovan is a bit more understated but extremely versatile, this one sporting black waxed laces and double leather black bottom soles as well as a 360-degree flat welt to enhance the boot’s simplicity. The best part? They’re exclusive to New York’s Leffot and can be had for $680 now.
From Unionmade comes their latest collaboration with New England’s Alden. The McClaren Longwing wingtip shoe is offered up in a two-tone colorway of tan and brown and is built on a double oak sole for unparalleled comfort. The details are immense as the shoe features all-around reverse welt, hidden eyelets and round cordohyde laces.
From Blackbird’s ongoing collaboration with Alden comes this Summer Oxford in a Reverse Tobacco Chamois shell. It’s a mixture of two well-recieved styles from the fruitful collaboration. This Summer Oxford, like other Alden pieces before it, is hand made with Horween leather in an all-natural, special recipe tanning process that can take up to six weeks to complete. Needless to say, the time dedicated to the making of each pair really shows in the final product.
Toronto’s Nomad has taken stock of a few styles from Alden including their iconic Longwing Bluchers in a light brown Eclipse leather shell and constructed on the New England brand’s Barrie last. They’re leather lined and feature a Goodyear welt design as well as double leather soles with a rubber dovetail in the heel for added durability and longevity.
All Alden shoes also carry a tempered steel shank which provides maximum shape & support unique to all of Alden’s shoes. Waxed laces & shoe bags included.
The folks at Unionmade have taken stock of their latest custom makeups from Alden. There are two unique pieces in the mix this time around, both made expressly for Unionmade. The Bluxome Two Tone Straight Tip Medallion Toe Spectator features Alden’s De Rosa Perforated Straight Tip pattern and a plantation crepe outsole. The McAllister Two Tone V-Tip Split Toe in Brown Chromexcel is a play on the classic American Algonquin pattern in a subtle two tone of brown chromexcel and reverse tobacco chamois.
Hong Kong’s Obscura Magazine gives us an impressive look at New England-based shoemaker Alden and even gave us a few looks at their exclusive collaboration with the brand. “Obscura also produced a lace-up and a boot in collaboration with Alden. Furthermore they present a matching shoehorn together with Japanese leather brand Roberu and a tote bag for the project.”(via highsnobiety)
New York’s Leffot has limited stock of these Alden Longwing Blucher’s in the Ravello Horween shell cordovan leather finish. These LWBs sit atop the Barrie last with double leather soles and look downright epic.
Repeat after me: Grail status. Alden, the shoemaker of the hour, has just upped the ante on their classic Indy boot with the Milkshake Pull-Up Work Boot. Made from a luxurious yet durable taupe calf suede, they have all of the details that we have come to love from Alden. While fall is a few months away, we will be stashing away our summer paper route money for a pair of these.
