Alexander McQueen presented their Fall 2013 collection in London, giving us a lineup that’s filled with some really unique detailing. The presentation itself featured models with plastic masks and slicked hair, giving an early 1900′s type of vibe and the pieces followed suit. Relaxed suiting with pinstripes and velvet detailing dominated the runway show with hints of polka dots and other standout patterns tossed in the mix as well.

Speaking from the heart, I’ve been a fan of the PUMA x AMQ collaboration for years now, trailing back to my college days when I used to make my way over to The Black Store and grab a pair or two season over season. It was the only place you could find PUMA’s Black Label collaborations and though a pair is a bit easier to track down nowadays, the designs have seldom disappointed. The Street Climb Mids in leather for spring look impeccable and come in a trio of colorways – cognac, white, and black. They’re wearable and with their track record, are known to be one of the most comfortable pair of kicks you’ll ever own. Considering I own a ton of ‘em them — TRUST. Look for these to hit select shops in the weeks ahead.

Some more goods from designer label Alexander McQueen for y’all. This slim black cotton blend tie caught our attention and thought it’s worth highlighting. The diagonal gold stripes and brown skull motif really set it apart while the traditional striped ties make it more wearable than you’d expect.

F0r the first time since McQueen and Puma started their relationship, the team’s not only releasing amazingly designed and constructed shoes, but they’re also going to bless us with a well-crafted lineup of clothing as well. You can expect to see boxing-inspired apparel that molds the purpose of the pieces and transforms them into innovative and wearable garments in or out of the ring.
From a quick look at what the models are wearing on their feet, the footwear collection may also be taking much of its inspiration for the upcoming season from boxing as well, agreed?

The Fashionisto gives us a look inside Barneys’ Fall 2009 Mailer. This upcoming season is probably one the most consistent and fresh lineups we’ve seen in quite sometime. My eye’s are set on that wool suit by Band of Outsiders among other pieces. Tweed and other warm fabrics are playing a major among a few different designers, but that’s not surprising.
