A.P.C. and Retrosuperfuture recently teamed up to make a few pieces that are all about quality and delivering them at the best possible price rather than over-the-top branding. The limited edition glasses are for both men and women, with the shell’s being composed of 100% Italian acetate with Carl Zeiss engineered lenses, and entirely hand-made in Italy.
All silhouettes were designed by A.P.C. to work back to the Spring / Summer ’13 collection and are available at A.P.C. stores and select retailers worldwide as well as A.P.C.’s online store.

French brand A.P.C. gives us a look at their Fall 2013 collection which features a muted color palette that’s filled primarily with deep reds and blues, black and gray. There’s a collegiate influence here with the delivery of casual sweatshirts and a varsity jacket though the formal pieces aren’t forgotten. Look for well-fitting trousers and a navy double-breasted suit I was wish was in my closet yesterday.

A.P.C. celebrated their 25 year anniversary the other night with a party at their Soho boutique in New York. Afrika Bambaataa was spinning and this video was playing in the background. Founded in 1987 by Tunisian born Designer Jean Touitou A.P.C. quickly gained a cult following among Parisians and New Yorker’s for its minimalist designs and high-quality Japanese selvage denim. The design hasn’t lost his touch over the years as the brand continues to innovate and deliver on everything that’s made A.P.C. what it is today.

A.P.C. has opened the doors to its seventh retail shop in its hometown of Paris, this one being situated at 23 Rue Royale, steps away from some of the French capital city’s finest retail destinations including Chanel, Loro Piana and Moncler. The A.P.C. store was designed by Laurent Deroo, the architect behind London’s Dover Street Market and Hong Kong’s Icehouse. Look for the St. Honoré shop to house A.P.C.’s full line of men’s and women’s collections alongside shoes, accessories and more.

So what do you when your team’s clicking on all cylinders and you’re on the brink of a possible first championship? If you’re the Miami Heat’s LeBron James, you announce the launch of a new, modern luxury concept store called Unknwn. It’s slated for a Fall 2011 launch and will house a mix of apparel, footwear, printed materials and lifestyle accouterments. Brands already on deck include A.P.C., Original Fake and Nike Tier Zero. We’ll be hearing about this after LBJ gets his first ring.
