Leffot recently turned us to Basil Racuk’s latest version of the Weekender bag. It comes in a black oiled tan shell with red calf leather handles and vintage lining. It’s the perfect size for short getaways and the minimalistic design is sure to standout.
It measures 9″ x 23.5″ x 9″ and is made to order through Leffot.
As we’ve mentioned before, this past weekend’s Pop Up Flea in NYC was pretty epic. There were some pretty historic brands with some great product on hand. J.W. Hulme Co. brought along a limited edition tote which came to fruition after a loyal customer gave them a call and offered up an old awning they used to make back in 1961.
We paired our favorite American Heritage Leather with the durable canvas awning to make a functional tote. Due to the amount of awning canvas we could salvage we could only make a small run of ten.
We got the opportunity to check these bags up close at The Pop Up Flea but not sure if any of them made it out of there.
Zurich-based QWSTION has been making outstanding, functional travel gear since 2006, consistently delivering goods we’d enjoy lugging around, not dread. It’s never easy taking a successful product like the 3Fold to new heights when the initial version was so well-received but we think hard graft has done it with v2. The concept behind the bag is as strong as each of the three guises. Both bags are in the final stages of development so look for them to drop before year’s end.
New York-based 3sixteen teamed up with Portland’s Tanner Goods for this tote made from 10oz. waxed canvas and black English bridle leather. It’ll fit your 13″ MacBook easily along with a moleskine and magazine atop anything else you might want to toss in. The two external open pouches and one zippered pocket make way for more space for anything smaller to which you need easy access.

From Makr comes their Farm Ruck Sack, made of black heavy cotton duck and undyed leather. The carrier is fitted with unique exterior closures, multiple pockets and leather washers/reinforcements. The heavy cotton webbing and padded shoulder straps add to the durability without taking anything away from the visual appeal.

Not sure when Urban Outfitters began carrying Duluth Pack gear but they’ve got the Hiking Pack in blue and red varieties. The tough canvas fabric is durable and the color choices help the piece to standout during the hot summer days. The large main compartment offers plenty of space for just about anything. If you think this bag’s likely to give up on you, then think again. The webbed cotton shoulder straps are each fitted with leather and metal buckles that are actually hammered with studs for reinforcement.
