Bread & Butter: Barbour To Ki To Spring/Summer 2011

With tradeshow season in full effect, the good folks over at Selectism have made their way over to Berlin for this year’s Bread & Butter. They turn us to the S/S 2011 collection for Barbour‘s ongoing collaboration with Japan’s To Ki To. “Designer, Tokihito always adds a variety of accents to the line. The “Duralinen Trials Shirt” in olive includes a wrap which attached the rear of the jacket to the front via a crotch wrap – which helps in keeping the dirt off your slack.”

Barbour x Tokihito Yoshida: The Beacon Brand Collection

Barbour x Tokihito Yoshida: The Beacon Brand Collection

Available now at Opening Ceremony is Barbour’s collaboration with Japanese designer Tokihito Yoshida. Prior to starting his own brand, To Ki To, Tokihito designed for companies like Mens Bigi, Harolds Gear, and Blades Savile Row to name a few. The Beacon Brand Collection includes a waxed trench coat and bicycle, horse riding and driving jackets, and is inspired by Barbour’s extensive archive that dates back to 1908. Tokihito updated the classic styles with clever details that focus on utility and have a more streamline design.

Head to Opening Ceremony’s Manhattan store to grab one (or two or three) of the pieces but expect the lineup to hit the online store sometime this coming week.
