Now in its sixth season, Barbour’s collaborative effort with Japanese designer Tokihito Yoshida brings another tremendous lineup. The Beacon Heritage “ToKiTo” collection adds technical details to Barbour’s longstanding aesthetics and appeal. “Yoshida sympathetically uses classic Barbour materials such as 6oz Sylkoil and Quilted Polyamide, as well as innovative fabrics such as Gore WINDSTOPPER to create modern, ergonomically crafted silhouettes, making the Beacon Heritage collection his own.”
For Spring 2012, the outerwear pieces to check out are the Spey Fishing Jacket which is made from Gore Windstopper Active Shell as well as the Mount Shirt, a completely new addition to the Barbour Tokito lineup. It comes in three materials: Waxed, Herringbone and Windstopper.

Here we have a look at R.Newbold and their Fall/Winter 2011 offerings. The Japanese label looks to have a solid lineup, with some amazing outerwear pieces in the mix to really drive the collection. For Fall 2011, they’ve even collaborated with Barbour to really take things next level. They’ve reworked the M-51 parka jacket and given it a raised hood placket and leather detailings. One piece from the Barbour collaboration that really stands out is the shorter jacket which features subtle polka dot patchwork print. The duffle coat seen below is exceptional as it’s got all the makings of a classic with a blue stripe towards the bottom to stir things up. (via The189)

Surprising to say this but our favorite boat shoe this year is coming from a brand not known for its footwear. The Camp Mocs from Barbour are really well crafted and the time dedicating to cooking these up shows in the final product. The full navy leather upper works well with the stitched rubber razor etched sole. Barbour tartan arch support gives way for better comfort. The hand stitched shoe also features rawhide leather laces and brass eyelets.
