Buttero has released their Ripple Sole boat shoe in two new color versions, both of which are fitted with supple leather and suede uppers mounted atop the brand’s trademark ripple sole for the current season. The boat shoe formula is pushed forward with a few well crafted details like the folded cuff used to channel the leather lacing, the hand sewing and stitching on the vamp or the contrast natural leather welt running around it.

The shoe is available in dark green leather and brown suede, matched with brown or blue soles and can be had now through Por Vocacao.

Here’s one Buttero’s standout pieces from their S/S 2012 collection — the ripple sole boat shoe. The upper is offered in either rich dark grey suede or china blue leather and feature Vibram’s Gumlite ripple soles, making them light and highly comfortable to walk on. With amazing attention to detail throughout the by-hand manufacturing process, we’re not surprised at how good the final product looks because we’d expect nothing less. From rag & bone comes their Wakefield high top boat shoes made from 100% leather. They feature hide laces and moccasin stitch detail at the toe as well as a leather heel pull and an embossed rag & bone logo at the ankle. The soft sand finish makes this boot extremely versatile and wearable as well.

Scott Sternberg and company at Band of Outsiders are at it again with another solid collaboration with the folks at Sperry Top-Sider. This time, we’re seeing a low-top boat shoe in yellow nylon shell. The yellow colorway was well-received when it was initially utilized in a high-top variation last year.

Ronny Fieg and company over at Culture Shoq turn us to Sperry’s signature pair of 2-Eye boat shoes for Fall 2010. If you’re looking for an all-suede alternative to the leather or canvas boats you’re sporting now, this would be it. Sperry Topsider is sticking to their roots with this one, as they offer up a hand-sewn beauty which will be offered in nine colorways including Mustard, Blue, Black and Dark Brown. “The added rubber outsole with razor-cut wave-siping grip helps establish maximum traction and flexibility for this upcoming season.”

Look for the shoes to hit stockists in the coming weeks and months.

Sperry Topsider continue to team up with Band of Outsiders to bring us an amazing footwear line for the spring and summer seasons. Our favorite out the batch may have to be this suede and nylon boat shoe that comes in a two-tone pink finish. They look great and will surely be one of those standout pairs in your closet.

Our favorite New York footwear retailer Leffot is getting set to take stock of a limited run of Sebago boat shoes. “The Sebago-Moc Company was founded in 1946 by three New England natives whose first shoe was a hand-sewn penny loafer. Two years after the initial founding, Sebago-Moc began selling its leather boat shoe and they have been an American icon ever since.”

The LTD. collection will consist of three colorways, each available in eight pairs of whole sizes, twenty-four in total. That’s all, folks. Look for them to drop at select shops in May, including Leffot.

Band of Outsiders will continue their collaboration with Sperry this fall, bringing us two more boat-shoe-inspired kicks, crafted especially with the winter seasons in mind. Hypebeast tells us both feature what appears to be a gray wool upper with the low-cuts enjoying a tonal gray two-tone design.

A summer classic updated in canvas and washed to perfection. The boat shoe is a piece Sperry has never done wrong. This olive finish is as intriguing as it is versatile.
