In the past, we’ve seen the SLVR line from adidas to be more for ball players than anyone else and I think the majority would’ve agreed to that. However, taking a closer look at the label’s offerings in recent collections tells us there’s an apparent shift in the vision and direction of SLVR. Their Core Mid canvas shoe tells the story quite nicely. It’s casual, comfortable and features a lightweight, breathable shell that’s perfect for the summer months.

It reminds us of kicks from back in the day but you won’t see anyone sporting anything of the sort on the courts these days. Don’t get me wrong. There are shoes in SLVR’s current lineup that are more for athletics than for casual wear but this piece isn’t one of them.

In an exclusive collaboration with Tretorn, Sweden’s environmentally progressive maker of casual, understated shoes, Acne Jeans has blended their attention to detail with Tretorn’s minimalist designs. The cotton canvas upper brings comfort to the shoes, while small-in-size details like the heel being labeled with Acne and Tretorn are what define this trainer.

The classic plain shoe by NY-brand Opening Ceremony is not so plain. This pair has a very high level of attention to detail and quality as it’s fitted with a rough canvas outter and piping in brown leather not to mention the comfortable leather inner.
