D.A. Wallach and Maxwell Drummey of Chester French have dropped their sophomore album. Dubbed, MUSIC 4 TNGRS, the 11-track LP comes two years after Love the Future, and features guest appearances from Travis Barker, Pusha T, & Pharrell. The refreshing sound Chester French brings to the industry is heard throughout the album and gives us something we don’t get from other artists.

Today is a good day. Chester French have released their first single and accompanying video in three years. “Black Girls” features Travis Barker on the drums and is a solid effort after their hiatus. Fashion photographer Francesco Carrozzini gives his direction on this one. The video stars the multi-talented Rie Rasmussen and Jodie Smith, who bring life to the band’s unabashed, hard-hitting celebration of feminine beauty and interracial love. Music for the past few years has been pretty bland. My playlists include work from an array of genres from an array of time periods so I’m not biased towards one or another. For some reason though, I think the value of music is about to astronomically increase when new kids on the block, Chester French, release their debut album, Love the Future, this Tuesday (April 21st). We briefly reported on the band not too long ago when they were featured in Vanity Fair.
We had the chance to download and actually listen to their mixtape, Jacques Jams Vol. 1 in its entirety and we were blown away. Although we expected raw goodness from the CF x Clinton Sparks collaboration, we did not expect it to be this good. Chester French’s following is growing and with the backing of Pharrell and Star Trak, we see the duo taking music to a new level. Clinton put it best — they’re like a mixture of Outkast and The Beatles. Yes, they’re that good. So on Tuesday, consider “endurance” achieved when they begin climb on the billboard charts. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
