Ace Hotel, Wings + Horns and BEAMS recently teamed up to create a capsule collection built around Wings + Horns’ iconic fleece with the sport of boxing as the primary source of inspiration. The two-piece capsule collection features garment dyed jackets, available in cashmere and high performance cotton, bridging fine Italian tailoring, innovative fabrics research and garment treatments Boglioli is known for with Kolor’s conceptual and deconstructed designs for the sophisticated, fashion-forward consumer.
Featuring a limited production of only 600 pieces worldwide, all proceeds from the sale of the two jackets will be donated to Save the Children Japan. Por Vocacao will be one of the few shops who will be carrying this when the pieces land in late October.
Shades of Grey by Micah Cohen happens to be one of our favorite labels right now as the designer offers up wearable pieces at an affordable price point time and time again. They’ve teamed up with Ronnie Fieg’s new store, Kith, to make this cotton baseball jacket that features a navy body with sleeves and pocket detailing that match Fieg’s “Salmon Toe” ASICS. Only 54 jackets were made and will release on September 30 at 11 am EST to coincide with the release of the “Salmon Toe” ASICS. 24 of the pieces will be available in-store at Kith, while the remaining 30 will be up for grabs online at kithnyc.com. It’s priced at $220 USD.
Italian jewelry manufacturer BVLGARI celebrates its 125th anniversary with an infamous collaboration with sparkling mineral water maker San Pellegrino. This one-of-a-kind gemstone label will be sold at BVLGARI’s international touring exhibition in Paris, which is running through January 2012. Folks will be able to get their hands on the signature collaboration at many of the top eating establishments in “La Ville-Lumière.”

This season’s New York Fashion Week brought along several milestones, most notably Fashion’s Night Out ever-growing success and Tumblr’s expanded participation in the slew of shows and happenings across the city. To take things to new heights, the Hudson Hotel played host to the Tumblr community’s top 20 fashion and style bloggers, affectionately referred to as the “Tumblr 20″. Through this non-paid partnership, Hudson created a cross-platform opportunity that seamlessly integrated content generated by bloggers during New York Fashion Week into the hotel’s physical spaces to create a unique experience for the hotel guests and visitors.
Nigel Cabourn collaboration with Eddie Bauer for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2011 seasons was one of the most sought-after collections from this past January’s Pitti Uomo. The collaboration pieces have been designed alongside Cabourn, drawing on their archive classics and produced in Canada using the techniques and experience used back in the day.
The final product is very limited but we’ve sighted the first batch in the form of EB’s Canadian vest at Superdenim. Available in both an orange check and olive, the Canadian vest is based on a military design. The olive shell features a lightly waxed cotton outer that’s hand filled with goose down and packed tight to give amazing insulation and quality finishing with Tweed details and a Coyote fur collar to finish things off. The orange check comes with a Harris Tweed outer and cotton quilted inner with fine details like the calf skin shoulder yolk and a Coyote fur collar similar to that of the olive shell to complete the piece.
