All good things must come to an end, folks and that is the only thing that explains news stating Uniqlo and Jil Sander’s +J collection will end its course after the Fall/Winter 2011 season. Sander’s minimalistic approach to design went mass market just two years ago at extremely accessible price points and we hope Uniqlo is able to craft more partnerships in the near future.
Iconic Hawaiian brand Reyn Spooner has teamed up with New York-based retailer Opening Ceremony for a limited edition capsule collection. The lineup features eight long and short-sleeve shirts produced in Hawaii as well as men’s shorts and even a few pieces for the ladies. Archival Reyn Spooner fabric was used to make every piece and was selected by OC and Reyn Spooner from a range of vintage cotton and rayon prints from different eras.
Reyn Spooner for Opening Ceremony is available now at Opening Ceremony locations in New York, Los Angeles, at the Ace Hotel in New York and online at www.openingceremony.us. Shirts retail from $130 to $150 while the shorts are $170.
H&M has announced their latest designer collaboration and this one tops even their recent Lanvin collab. The international retailer will be teaming up with Versace this time around and though details are grim at the moment, here is a video featuring brief interviews with Donnatella Versace and H&M’s Margareta van den Bosch.

Dean and Dan Caten of DSQUARED² have unveiled their Life Ball Mini Cooper S Red Mudder. This Mini’s redesigned to tackle any obstacle or terrain with its new front gaurd, rally headlamps, tinted side windows with grilles and a spare tire on the tailgate. To take handling to the next level, the Cooper S is fitted with raised chassis and deep-tread all-terrain tires. Oh and if you’re rolling through the Mojave and forget which way’s home, just follow the newly-fitted compass on the inside.
Considering the twin brothers are Canadian, it’s only right the car have a maple leaf on the outside as well as the leather head restraints on the inside.
For the current Spring 2011 season, Unionmade introduces a few new additions to their ongoing collaboration with Golden Bear. There are a few varsity jackets as expected but the duos have introduced two varsity vests this time around as well. All pieces feature a duck canvas shell and cotton lined body while the vests feature cowhide-trimmed shoulders. Golden Bear’s fit for this collaboration is known to be on the slimmer side, something we don’t often see in varsity jackets these days.
The Nigel Cabourn for Eddie Bauer collection for Fall 2011 was one of the biggest hits from this January’s Bread & Butter tradeshow in Berlin and with good reason. The product looks flawles. “What we’re looking at is strong, highly tailored and developed outerwear from the Seattle staple brand.” Word’s even getting out that this collection may be available stateside. Warriors of Radness had a tremendous 2010 and it seems they’ve picked up right where they left off this year. We’ve gotten the word about their collaboration with Opening Ceremony for a capsule collection entitled, “Beach Crew!”. The collection features gear for both men and women and ranges in product from tank tops and t-shirts to crewneck sweaters and more.
Japanese Label White Mountaineering teamed up with Men’s NON-NO magazine to celebrate their 25th anniversary, offering up this exclusive, limited iPhone 4 case in the process. The casing features a black and grey Navajo-style print with White Mountaineering’s logo in the mix as well.
Another sneaker from the Vans Vault collection, this piece is another interpretation of the Sk8-Hi by Taka Hayashi. The upper’s detailed with both canvas and leather and features Taka Hayashi feather embroidery on the tongue. It’s available in limited quantities, in both a honey brown and dark brown shell.
