The Brooklyn Nets and adidas Originals have teamed up for a premium capsule collection in celebration of the Nets finding a new home and vision. Featured in the line up is a wool jacket, t-shirt, crewneck, a custom USB drive, as well as a limited edition Schott x Kith Brooklyn carryall duffel. The details are immense and the best part is that all proceeds from the limited edition sports bag will go directly to helping Hurricane Sandy victims.
British brand Sunspel has collaborated with Postalco to produce a limited edition collection of notebooks, wallets and cardholders. The inspiration behind the offerings is a prototype fabric sketch conceived by a Sunspel technician in the 1950s. All pieces were handcrafted in Japan, where Postalco is now based.
Available through Sunspel.com, the card holder retails for $217, notebook for $82.60 and the wallet for $273.
Nigel Cabourn and Eddie Bauer have teamed up once again, this time bringing us more inspiration from Eddie Bauer’s historical archives. The American brand has an immense warehouse of designs and Mr. Cabourn was able to swift through to find some amazing fabrics and classic designs that we’re really glad to see come to fruition. Beyond the archives, the collection is also inspired by vintage hunting and fishing styles, something that’s quite prevalent throughout the offerings. Quilted coats, waxed cotton vests with fur lined detachable hoods, and down filled parkas are all designed and constructed with the uncompromising quality that has become synonymous with the Nigel Cabourn brand (consider that the down filled parkas are stuffed by hand and require more than five hours of production work to complete each garment). GQ’s 2012 Best New Menswear Designers in America have been tapped to craft capsule collections with American giant Gap and we’ve now got first looks at the offerings. Ian Velardi, Todd Snyder, Saturdays Surf, BLK DNM, Ovadia & Sons, and Mark McNairy New Amsterdam will drop their own offerings for this limited-edition drop that’s set to release on September 27th. The capital that’s just been thrown behind WoR is tremendous and will surely expedite the growth of the SoCal label. There’s a two-minute clip below that has Rick Klotz of Warriors of Radness and a few of the other guys chatting it up alongside Dov. Definitely worth checking out.
Unveiled at this week’s (Capsule) show in Paris was a collaboration between Schott’s Perfecto Brand and Billykirk. They’ve teamed up for an all-leather tool bag for Spring 2012. The bag’s hand made by brothers Chris and Kirk Bray with parts from California and Pennsylvania and features elements incorporated from the iconic Schott Perfecto and BillyKirk’s classic carryall. It’s made from brown and black American cowhide and is fitted with quilted nylon lining, heavy chrome zipper, exterior coin pocket and Schott Perfecto hardware. Other fine details include double drop handles, signature Billykirk luggage tag, metal hinge frame, two interior pockets and a detachable leather shoulder.
Made exclusively for Belfast’s The Bureau, this Cavalier Stow Brogue from Tricker’s recently caught our attention. The full calf leather uppers come in a deep “lolipop red” finish and are contrasted with orange pulls. The double leather sole adds comfort while it’s natural finish works well against the upper shell.
Mark McNairy drops another amazing brogue exclusively for Norse Projects, this time utilizing pebbled leather and British Millerain throughout the upper. The Ridgeway sole works well against the tan grain upper and woven leather laces.
We’ve seen Converse and Mackintosh already team up this season once before with a remake of the Jack Prucell Johnny Shoe. This piece takes things to Mackintosh’s home court with the Newfield Mac Coat. It features Waterproof Mackintosh Fabric Construction, dual branded inner label, and embossed button detail.

This weekend at the SoHo Beach House in Miami Beach, FL., Audemars Piguet appointed LeBron James as the new global brand ambassador. AP is the world’s oldest independent watch manufacturer and them teaming up with LBJ is no surprise. He’s been a huge fan of the watchmaker for quite sometime, heck he even wore a Royal Oak during “The Decision” which aired on ESPN last summer.
