COMME des GARCONS has crafted three new wallets exclusively for Parisian outpost colette. The pieces are made from black polyurethane with zippered closures and a multicolored stars motif throughout, offered up in your choice of two pouches in different sizes or a wallet that offers both card and bill slots in addition to a coin pouch with a buttoned closure. The collection can be purchased both in-store and online now from colette.
The New York Times reports Rei Kawakubo is looking to open a DSM New York as the designer recently came to Manhattan to scope out a few different locations. With the multibrand Comme-owned stores already calling London and the Ginza district of Tokyo home, opening a space in New York is something a lot of folks have been anticipating. The New York DSM will be in an area where there are no other fashion stores in hopes of revamping the identity and culture of the area.
Highsnobiety turns us to Comme des Garcons Junya Watanabe MAN’s collaboration with The North Face to craft a few pieces for the current F/W season. “Complementing their hunting and outdoor inspired offering of the season, they produced in collaboration with The North Face a vest in several colorways, as well as two coats. Monocle is known for organizing debates on design and architecture, and creating exclusive fairs as well. Now, they’re first shop in Marylebone, London is filled with amazing collaborations that keep us as intrigued as we have been in their previous endeavors. Brands include Comme des Garçons, Porter, Valextra and Drakes London and the shop has an exclusive products area, with a variety of items from CDs to stationery to travel guides. Plus, if you are familiar with their magazine, they have all the issues published to date. One of our favorite pieces is an exclusive Tokyo poster-guide created in collaboration with Louis Vuitton.

There was pandemonium today in Manhattan at all four major H&M locations. People were all running around looking for their sizes, and most were probably disappointed. Check out the shots over at Racked for full coverage.
Anyone remember the collection Roberto Cavalli did for H&M last year? Well, the giant retailer’s being rewarded with a collection by COMMES des GARCONS. The stock is likely to disappear within hours of release just like the Cavalli line did, but with the pricing controversy forming over the upcoming collection, maybe it won’t.
The line drops on November 13th, while Japan gets an early preview a week or two earlier. The collection for H&M features a by-their standards conservative measure of avant-garde styling, perfect for the mainstream crowd the giant retailer attracts.
