We recently highlighted Comune‘s Spring/Summer 2012 Collection video and now he have looks at the entire collection. Some pieces to note are the chinos which come in a few different finishes as well as the white range of denim jackets. There are a few sweatshirts in the mix as well, both of which feature an asymmetrical cut across the front.
To showcase their Spring 2012 offerings, COMUNE went to Salton Sea in Cali and shot this video. The looks are more casual than anything but there’s plenty to be had for all. Some of the selection includes a stark selvedge denim shirt-jacket, a few plaid button downs, cashmere v-necks, military-inspired boots and slimmed chinos to bring the line full-circle.
Comune’s Drop City program adds Devendra Banhart to the mix for Fall 2011 with the creation of this original piece of art. Rather then placing a complete piece work on the front of a shirt, COMUNE worked with Banhart on using an exploded view of a smaller section creating a more organic pattern to the print. For those not familiar with Devendra Banhart, the LA-based singer songwriter has been igniting the music world for almost a decade. He’s no one-trick pony, as his other talents extend to drawing, painting and even curating both domestic and international arts shows.
Comune turns us to a capsule collection for Holiday 2011 and it’s looking great from the looks seen here. The offerings are very clean as they feature subtle detailing but all in a very functional package. Shetland Wool, coated denim jackets and heavily insulated rain coats all make their way into Comune’s lineup alongside a few mid layer pieces to seal the deal.

Comune delivers quite a promising collection for Fall 2011 and really continues to shed light on the brand’s steady maturation process. The fall line is a dark and moody one, with a mix of textures such as heavy tweed, french terry and wool. Some new styles to look out for include the Olsen jacket, Medford woven and Maddox sweater, which happens to be one of our favorites to look out for come next winter. The price points for these pieces are generous but quality and individuality isn’t sacrificed, that’s for sure.
