The last time there was styrofoam in my house, it was when I opened my new Bravia. It’s a great protector of valuables in packaging, but German designer Anne Boenisch has put it good use in a completely different way.

Joe Harmon, a North Caroline State University student has dished out this little graduation project and it’s more than a couple pieces of wood. It’s expected to weigh about 2500 lbs and will push no less than 600 horses from its twin supercharged, 4.6 litre V8 engine. 

No word yet on pricing or it’s availability but we’re sure there’s a guy somewhere in Dubai that’s in the market for a supercar made of wood. Head to Joe’s website to check out the full rundown.

Designer Stas Aki has come up with a design that’s so simple, yet so abstract. Stas Aki stops the hands of the clock without stopping time. On a tradition watch, the hands read approximately 10:07, but on Stas Aki’s immovable watch, the real time is told my digital numbers above the small hand and big hand. Time is put on a 24-hour scale instead of a 12-hour scale and the design of the watch is sleek and simple as well.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen a computer with a floppy disk drive. Higher density drives are built to read, write and even format lower density media without problems, provided the correct media are used for the density selected.
