Sharpie Liquid Pencil [Design]

Sharpie Liquid Pencil [Design]

Sharpie, known for the company’s signature marker, is set to drop the Liquid Pencil next month. This is no concept, folks, it’s the real deal. It’s a pen with erasable ink which is made from graphite and only becomes permanent like a Sharpie Marker after three days. Game changer? We think so.

Americana: Pharrell for Creative Cycles [Harley-Davidson]

Creative Cycles recently worked closely with Pharrell Williams to make a custom Harley-Davidson motorcycle for the artist. The result was one of the most-edgy bikes we’ve seen from the iconic American brand as it featured stickers on the gas tank and an army-inspired Harley logo. Rides magazine caught up with Pharrell to talk about the inspiration behind the bike and shot a video in the process.

Good things come to those who wait, and from those who take their time. We’re sure the folks at incase weren’t sitting back with their feet kicked up for the past two months, because the iPhone 4 cases coming from their design team are solid. The latest also happens to be the lightest in their iPhone 4 product offering. The Clear Snap Case, if you haven’t guessed already, is see through so it works sort of like another layer of clear glass so the overall aesthetics of the iPhone 4 aren’t completely lost in translation.

All features are still accessible, including both front and back cameras as well as the side volume controls. The case also features a Flash Ring that surrounds the camera cutout, which prevents glare interference while using the camera.

Bovet Ottanta Tourbillon for Pininfarina

Bovet Ottanta Tourbillon for Pininfarina

The folks at Hodinkee turn us to a special timepiece from Turin-based design house Pininfarina. For their 80th anniversary, they commissioned watchmaker Bovet to craft the Ottanta Tourbillon, a watch that exudes elegance and delivers much versatility when it comes to usage. The design allows for it be worn on the wrist with either of its two faces displayed, or connected to a titanium chain for use as a pocket watch, or it can simply be configured as a miniature table clock. All of this is made possible without the need for any tools or accessories, allowing for seamless conversion.

The heart of the watch is powered by a special Tourbillon that, “Makes a round trip every 80 seconds, opposed to the more common 60 second variety.” Impressive indeed. Other features from the 514 piece automatic movement include an 80 hour power reserve, a platinum micro-rotor and a special Pininfarina balance screw.

Only 80 of these beauties will ever make it through production, with each priced in the $300,000 USD range. Head to Hodinkee for more details on this timepiece.

Bell & Ross: The Vintage Original and Heritage Lines

Bell & Ross: The Vintage Original and Heritage Lines

Bell & Ross pay homage to the aviators of the 1940’s with the release of their Vintage Original and Vintage Heritage lines. With the choice of two Swiss movements — automatic hours, minutes and seconds version (BR 123) and a chronograph version (BR 126) — how can you go wrong? The Vintage Original line pulls from watches worn by aviators in the 1940’s and is available in a black or beige dial variety.

The Vintage Heritage line will surely be the one turning our heads as the natural leather strap works well with the matte-black case. The beige-colored hands prove Bell & Ross’s ability to deliver with such great attention to detail.
