Last week, Dior Homme hosted its first ever fashion show in Beijing at the city’s Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) Museum. Previously shown in Paris, designer Kris Van Assche put the label’s F/W ’13 collection on display while adding in exclusively produced tuxedos for the Chinese market. Here’s what KVA had to say about the collection as well as entering China.

The Dior Homme man now looks to the future with optimism…What I wanted to convey in the collection this season is rigor, calm and control. This is a confident, self-made man in a multitude of ways. He’s a self-made superhero.

Dior Homme has dropped their BLACKTIE collection, a small lineup filled with some exceptional accessories made for men. Small leather goods and bags are presented in fine calfskin with raised suture seams and embellished black tie pleating. The pieces balance timeless design with a minimalistic approach as each is well detailed and available in taupe grey or black. The BLACKTIE accessories will be available in select international boutiques soon.

Christian Dior has launched Dior Mag, an online magazine that will serve as a hub for funding all things related to the famed fashion house. Expect runway shows to be streamed through here and new products and collections to use it as their platform. Exclusive news and content will be found here so be sure to bookmark it as things are about to get quite interesting.

For Fall 2012, Dior Homme‘s Kris Van Assche delivered a heavily military-inspired collection. The showing in Paris was dominated by olive colored pieces for most of the early parts with a strong mix of fabrics ranging from cashmere and leather to wool blends. Each piece tailored to perfection, the show diversified as it went on with insertions of suiting in black to bring back some classic Dior Homme styling.

Kris Van Assche delivers another splendid collection for Dior Homme, this time going with a more minimalist approach. Clean staples like high-waisted trousers, double-breasted blazers and button-down shirts were offered up mainly in black and white but beige and shades of blue made their way into the show as well.

Kris Van Assche definitely had his work cut out for him this fashion week with the presentation of Dior Homme and his own line within a day of each other. The results were phenomenal nonetheless. Dior Homme’s collection is a great one as it looks to recreate the trends once again. The trousers are a bit more relaxed than we’ve been used to and are fitted with slight crops, while the color looks to be all black everything.

This video gives us a quick behind the scenes look at the making of Dior Homme – From LA to London – starring Jude Law. The video’s about a minute long but you can see, in fast forward, what the face of the fragrance line did while shooting the commercials. In the final product, which we’ve also put after the jump, you can see Jude in casual and formal attire blended with scenic shots of Los Angeles and London.

Intriguing, amiright? Even though it looks a bit monotone, but with famous designer Karl Lagerfeld behind the scenes on this one, you really can’t go wrong. Ever. Dior Homme’s ad campaign for spring/summer of ’09 features Brazilian model Marlon Teixeira as the center of attention.

How many aviators have we seen released in the past year or so?  Hundreds.  How many do we actually like? A few.  The angled aviators by Dior Homme just happen to be one of them.  When we came across these and just had to know more.  There are mini “CD” engravings on the temples and there’s perforated detail at bridge and top corners of the frames.
