Nepenthes has taken stock of Engineered Garments’ latest bag offerings for F/W 2012. The lineup consists of three different styles, each delivered in wool shells with rich detailing. The Daypack is a traditional backpack style bag with a heavy wool exterior and nylon lined interior and comes in Navy 30oz Melton and Navy Wool Camo. The Tool bag is a short leather handle tote bag with numerous exterior pockets to hold all your daily items and potentialy tools. This one’s available in Navy Wool Camo, Olive Wool Melton, and Navy 30oz Melton. The last style, the laundry bag, is an extra large tote with draw string enclosure at the top and backpack straps and can be had in Olive Wool Melton and Navy Wool Camo.
Look for these in-store at Nepenthes NY and other select retailers worldwide.

Engineered Garments has released looks at their Spring 2012 lookbook through Nepenthes. There’s a good mix of fabrics and prints, as the label’s gone as far as adding floral shorts and a few other pieces that immediately caught our attention. Lightweight cotton poplin can be seen throughout the collection as well as a few cotton twill pieces.

From HUGE Magazine’s 8th Year Anniversary issue comes this editorial highlighting product from Engineered Garments’ Fall 2011 collection. Engineered Garments usually makes some really eccentric pieces but this is simple but downright essential for any man’s closet. The black cotton shell is lightweight and neutral, making it an easy decision for just about any outfit. Fine details include one chest pocket, two lower pockets and notched lapels which lead into a button front closure.

With a look at Engineered Garments’ Spring 2011 lookbook and highlights in a few different publications, we were able to get a comprehensive look at the New York label’s fine offerings for the months ahead. Polka dots and floral prints reigned supreme and we’ve finally spotted their scarves out on the market, some of which are of the floral variety. Three different styles are available, each a unique pattern from the other but still crafted right here in New York, as is all EG product.

Made in the United States with some great detailing, this military style duffle from Engineered Garments is really a great pickup. It’s spacious and is made from a heavy cotton canvas and is fitted with adjustable padded shoulder straps and a single outer snap pocket.

Though we highlighted the official lookbook for Engineered Garments’ Spring 2011 collection a few weeks back, here’s a fresh batch of looks from Japanese publication HUGE. “What may appear like a fashion faux pas – the scruffy look combined with mixed match patterns – works wonders for Engineered Garment. Drawing attention to the rugged and bearded model that gave the whole look character.” (via WBJ)

Another fine item from Engineered Garments’ Spring 2011 line is their latest rendition of the Bedford Jacket. This time, the New York label’s delivered it in a polka dot print atop a lightweight twill fabric. We’ve seen polka dot being utilized quite a bit this coming season but this is by far our favorite.
The Bedford Jacket comes in a khaki or black finish.

EG’s products from Spring 2011 are beginning to slowly make their way into retail shops worldwide and there’s no surprise Nepenthes is the first of the select few. The label’s Field Vest for next season is really something else as it redefines the construction and detailing of most conventional vests. It comes in a beige shell that’s fitted with a roomy hoodie and plenty of pockets in the front as well as one in the back. The double zipper adds to the functionality and versatility of the piece.
