Pinapple Express is a bromance flick at its finest. It teams up a subpoena server (Seth Rogan) and his drug dealer (James Franco) for an extremely hilarious set of events. James Franco does one heck of a job playing a part we’d never expect from him, gaining some much needed cred.

With the first day of 2009 already complete and 364 long ones still to go, we thought there are atleast 10 nights out of the year you should put aside for a nice night out with the guys or even your lady friend. 

There are ten movies coming out this year that we just can’t wait to see. From two movies starring Christian Bale to Denzel Washington and Tony Scott teaming up again for another thriller, this year’s playing host to a solid lineup of flicks.

Quentin Tarantino’s long-gestating WWII epic Inglorious Bastards finally sees the light of day with this re-envisioning of Enzo Castellari’s violent war film from 1977. The Weinstein Co. is scheduling the movie to release on August 21st, an unlikely choice of weekends.

This past August 22 saw the release of Death Race, The House Bunny and The Longshots, none of which I took the time to see. Tarantino has already stated that he wants to screen Basterds at the Cannes Film Festival in May, so we assume some sort of cut will be finished by then.

70 years after Elzie Segar’s death, his most profitable creation’s copyright is set to expire. The £1.5 billion in annual sales that Popeye the Sailor usually makes is up for grabs.

Britain under an EU law that restricts the rights of authors to 70 years after their death, compared to 95 years in the US. Segar passed away in 1938 at the age of 43.

Monster and Dr. Dre teamed up in March to bring us Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. Now, they’ve unveiled the Tour In-Ear headphones. They feature 24k gold contacts for clear connectivity, a low-mass, wide bandwidth driver for a healthy bass response, and a tangle-free cable, a first of its kind.

The other night, we were watching newest episode of The Simpsons and boy did we enjoy it. During a trip to the mall, Lisa enters the Mapple Store and receives a myPod from Krusty. After Bart interrupts an important message from Mapple founder Steve Mobbs, angry Mapple customers chase him out of the Springfield Mall. There are few Apple-related parodies that really amused us.

The entire Godfather collection in stunning HD quality usually runs us about 70 bucks. Today, Best Buy’s offering the Coppola Restoration for $41.99. Not too bad at all. The deal’s only good for today so definitely check it out!

It’s a great way to start the month. We’ve got a fresh list of Blu-ray releases including one of our favorite classics. Casablanca is hitting our Blu-ray players. Wanted and Step Brothers are both coming to Blu-ray this week as well.
