Introducing the ‘Denim Blue’ Boot from the fine folks at Grenson and Tenue de Nîmes. This is the duo’s second collaboration and is truly a remarkable one. The boot is inspired by an old infantry boot from the late 1800s (Military FTW!). Grenson’s ‘Glenn’ boots feature a special natural outsole with a combined logo sign and tone-on-tone leather laces.
Each pair is hand-made in England and will be available exclusively at Tenue de Nîmes.
Minnesota-based J.W. Hulme Co. has truly remarkable iPad case on the market and if you’re looking for an all-leather portfolio case with magnificent detailing then this one’s definitely worth checking out. It’s made in the brand’s gently distressed American Heritage brown leather tanned exclusively for J.W. Hulme. The case folks into two convenient positions: one for video viewing, one for desk top typing. It’s fully lined in camel colored nubuck leather and features pocket for docs, pen holder and business card holder on the inside.
The short wrist glove is undoubtedly one of our favorite hand protectors for the winter thus far. Churchill’s racer glove happens to feature a cuff that stops at the bend in your wrist and is handcrafted from premium deerskin. No need to tuck it inside the cuff on your jacket as these beauties sit quite comfortably around it. Plus, the cognac finish gives the gloves some versatility and virtually no limit as to when you can wear them or with what.
They’re heavy enough for maximum protection yet light enough to feel the grips. The vented gloves also feature a keystone thumb double stitched around the base of the thumb for added wear and the inseams are sewn flat for added comfort.
We’ve featured Oak Street Bootmakers here at PH in the past because they’re a fairly young company that knows how to deliver quality product better than most longstanding brands out. The latest addition to their lineup is the Hunt Boot with a navy Horween Chromexcel leather upper. Skilled workers with longstanding reputations handcraft each piece in Chicago.
Staple Design and Epaulet have teamed up for their first product collaboration, an enhanced version of Epaulet’s classic slim-fitting Rivet Chino. Staple Design added a collection of tweaks including rear button flap pockets, a mid-thigh rear utility pocket, a rear belt loop D-ring, and a reinforced cuff. We’re also told the fabric is a soft, double-faced brushed cotton twill straight from Japan while each piece is hand-crafted in Los Angeles.
Present London has taken stock of a ton of pieces from Mt. Rainier Design Fall/Winter 2010 collection. This shawl collared vest is a great pickup because not only does it look bad ass, but the melton vool shell and quilted goose down fill are sure to keep you warm moving forward.
J.Crew’s workwear-inspired utility shirts have been reinvisioned for the upcoming season in 10o percent cotton twill with an extremely soft, brushed finish. Though we’ve already begun to see Spring 2011 gear hit shelves, here’s one last piece from visvim’s Fall 2010 offerings worth checking out. The Beard boot from the label’s Folk series is made from premium leather tanned with natural vegetable tannings. The light brown suede upper is fitted atop a natural tan coloured welt and white Vibran wedge sole.
These just hit Singapore’s Surrender so definitely head over there to see if you can swipe up a pair.
We recently came across Ralph Lauren‘s Westfield Parka and have to say it’s one of our favorites of the current season. It’s got this rugged feel and gives off a broken-in look. It’s a deep blue shell but is fitted with light blue interior. The jacket can really work well year-round and the finish has no season. The hoodie’s roomy enough and the arm is fitted with an appliqué flap logo.
Though you may be most familiar with Left Field‘s lineup of knitwear, their outerwear pieces are worth checking out as well, especially this duffle coat. The detail are substantial as the coat’s made from Italian Melton wool and fitted with genuine horn toggles. It also features leather trimmings and is made in England.
