During this month’s Milan Fashion Week, Boglioli presented their S/S ’13 menswear collection in a converted factory space. The offerings ranged from their signature unconstructed jackets, garment dyed suiting and casual, tailored staples while the event featured food and drink prepared by legendary figures of classic Italian menswear including Nino Cerruti (owner of Cerruti 1884), Lucian Barbera (of Luciano Barbera), and Mario Boglioli himself.
The Spring 2013 collection draws inspiration from two American gentlemen of the 1920′s: Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald, icons of a sophisticated and timeless class. Classic elements of elegance are re-interpreted by Boglioli in a contemporary key with the addition of refined and sought-after elements.

With Milan Fashion Week underway, we’ve got our first runway preview in the form of Moncler Gamme Bleu and the label’s S/S 2013 collection. Thom Browne blends his hand-made tailoring sensibility with Moncler‘s expertise in active sportswear and outerwear, delivering another highly welcomed collection that’s sure to be a hit come next year. The concept this time around centers around the sport of sailing as the offerings feature sailing gear inspired jackets with sailor collars flaps and trousers that flare from the knee. Beyond this, you can expect the usual classic menswear such as suits, sport coats, Chesterfield coat, trench, capes, cardigans, polos, trousers and shorts. The full collection is split into three inspiration groups — all white group; red, whitea and blue group as well as a black tie, formal group with a bit of “rain slicker” yellow.
More looks from the presentation can be found below.

Pitti Uomo is underway and one of the best S/S 2013 previews to hit the webs is that of Napoli designer Salvatore Piccolo. For next spring, the designer looks to blend Japanese fabrics with Italian styling and construction. Look for Japanese denim selvedged shirts as well as those of the cotton and canvas variety. There are also a handful of Piccolo-exclusive fabrics that can be seen on some of the linen suiting. All-in-all, there’s much to appreciate in Salvatore Piccolo’s Spring 2013 offerings, most of which can be seen below. (via Men’s Reverie)

London-based designer Ozwald Boateng had an exceptional showing at last week’s London Fashion Week. Though his Fall 2012 collection is not as vibrant as we’ve seen from him in season’s past, it’s still one to keep an eye on for next winter. The warm fabrics and muted tones play well together while the cuts deliver a well-crafted lineup of goods. The Japanese-inspired aesthetics blend well with the British roots of the label and make for some must-have offerings.
