Swedish labels Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair and Alstermo Bruk have teamed up for Autumn 2010 for a pair of travel cases. Alstermo Bruk is known for their classic travel cases and also happens to be one of Sweden’s oldest companies dating back to 1804. These two cases deconstruct the outer shape while still keeping the classic detailing and finish of Alstermo Bruk.

The material is a so called amo-fibre with leather details and an interior wooden frame, lined with a vintage check wool fabric. Look for these to be available exclusively at Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair shops and online at shop.shoerepair.se.

Fifth Ave Shoe Repair‘s Fall 2010 collection mixes British and Japanese cultures, holding the heritage of traditional utility and sportswear together with a futuristic, technical feel. Big checks, argyle patterns  and pin stripes mixed with faded greens, blues and reds forms the colour palette while black and white are consistently utilized throughout the lineup.

Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair’s Crinkle Pocket tee is an interesting piece. The cotton/polyester blend makes for a soft feel with the crinkled jersey fabric making for a unique finish. What’s most intriguing is the asymmetrical 3D pocket, as its noticeable even with the deep green color of the tee.

When we first read the headline over at Selectism, our hearts nearly melted, but damn those witty informers. The recently launched online store for Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair is only available for Euro lads (for now we hope) but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the eyecandy. “Shoppers in the EU now have the opportunity to pick from the full range of ‘Only at Shoerepair’ – a line of limited articles only available for sale in our own stores. The first articles will be launched this fall online, containing small leather goods made of finest Italian calf skin and produced by a small family owned vendor in Portugal.”

Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair‘s been blessing us with some solid pieces for the past few seasons and this Fall’s lineup won’t be any different. From looking at the linebook, I already spy a double breasted coat and a leather jacket that deserve my attention. Interesting craftsmanship by the people over at Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair. These baggy pants in a black linen finish feature a dropped crotch with twisted seam legs. Fine detail in the cuffed hem as well as with the vertical welt pockets at the front and the button pocket in the back. They deserve some room in your closet for the coming season no matter what part of the country you’re in.

It’s like a lego set (vivid imagination I have). You can take it apart and put it together in a few different variations. Talk about versatile.
