The fine folks at Levi’s have teamed up with Filson to bring us a special collection that joins two names synonymous with workwear and American heritage. The collection is made entirely in the USA at the C. C. Filson factory in Seattle and will feature plenty of workwear clothing and accessories that are the result of days and weeks of collaborative brainstorming between leads at both brands.

One standout piece that’s already begun to catch headlines is Filson’s rendition of the Levi’s Trucker Jacket. This special offering delivers the iconic outdoor piece in Filson’s signature sturdy oil finish Tin Cloth fabric. All pieces in this special collaboration are built-to-last and extremely functional and can be expected to hit select Filson and Levi’s shops in the coming weeks.

This year’s Bread & Butter in Berlin had plenty of great collections on display but none greater than that of American-grown Filson. Their Fall/Winter 2010 collection brings us everything we’ve come to expect from the label — well-crafted and durable clothing and accessories. Our eyes are already focused on the luggage, especially the maroon wool duffel with leather details. Is it so awful that this winter has yet to pass and we’re already focused on the next?

C.C. Filson first opened his Pioneer Alaska Clothing and Blanket Manufacturers in 1897, profiting from the Klondike Gold Rush. Following this early success his dedication never faltered as he continued to develop and provide quality assured, reliable merchandise for the outdoors. This green fabric satchel with leather detailing shows the brand’s longstanding durability and attention to detail. It comes with a brown leather shoulder strap and has brown leather handles.
