This parka comes straight from Nigel Cabourn’s own archive, a design based on an original flight jacket. The shell’s made with Ventile while the interior’s lined with Harris Tweed. The parka’s topped off with an asymmetrical zip and chest pockets, features that were utilized to enhance articulation and allow easy access whilst in flight.
Wings and Horns delivers this duffel hoodie with toggle closure and a Polartec insulation. The warm Polartec ThermaPro fleece body is crucial in this weather as are the double exterior pockets and ribbed cuff and hem. The grey shell is the perfect color choice as it’s versatile and the mesh texture will easily be distinguished from your sweatshirts.
Unionmade’s collaborative efforts with fellow Bay Area resident Golden Bear continues with this impeccably crafted pea coat. It’s a traditionally styled double breasted pea coat with leather bound pockets and a button collar closure. The best thing about this pea coat is the fit. They’ve trimmed it down to take away the boxy appearance we’re used to seeing with pea coats.

L.A.S. over at Sartorially Inclined informs us of the latest additions to L.L.Bean Signature’s footwear lineup. Three new boots have popped up, one of them being their Maine Hunting Shoe in a navy waxed canvas upper. You may recall the original waxed canvas boot of the same style from Fall 2009. I personally digged it so much so that I pre-ordered it and have worn it frequently since. This navy finish is a great look also as it really works well with the brown detailing and yellow sole.
New York’s Leffot has taken stock of Quoddy’s Woodsman boot, probably your best shield against the cold winter weeks and months ahead. The Woodsman is fully lined to the toe in natural sheepskin while the shell is made of Horween brown Chromexcel leather with natural plantation crepe soles. The Woodsman’s about two inches taller than the Grizzly boot so there’s more protection and even more warmth.
We’ve seen alot of gift guides pop up and I’m sure you’ve peeped some of them. Last year, we dropped our first-ever gift guide and it was well received (for the most part) but we’ve really dug deep this time around. Before we get this fun started, I have to say there are alot of gems in here, folks and I’m not talking “Oh you fancy, huh?” gems. Some stuff is more affordable than others but all-in-all we’ve zoned in on quality.
So let’s start shall we? Navigation below.
We’re not condoning smoking (cigarettes) but if you’re going to carry your cigs around, this case from Martin Margiela is legit. It’s made in Italy from 100% leather and looks slick in the all-black finish.
If the folks at Oak Street Bootmakers have learned anything since they launched just a few months back, it’s that when you deliver well-crafted products, people will buy. The majority of Oak Street’s product sold out the first time around and with their new product, they’re offering them up for pre-order to ensure they meet the demand (though even this might not be guaranteed).
The Camp Boot is a must-have pickup as it’s made from brown Horween Chromexcel leather and features hand-stitched moccasin construction atop a Vibram sole. Each shoe is handcrafted in the USA and the dedication shows in the finished product.
Here’s another amazing piece from Vans Vault and this time in collaboration with Taka Hayashi. There’s a great mix of materials on the shell which features original Pendleton Woolen Mills fabric.
