From Dents comes these suede lined leather driving gloves, a lightweight winter essential. The elasticated, snap fastening cuff features a hint of red trim while there’s perforation throughout the gloves. The black finish is a bit more subdued than a brown or cognac variety so it will be a bit more versatile and conservative should the occasion call for it.

The details are immense yet minimalistic, with premium cotton fabric shell and tweed sleeves, as well as stuffed quilted lining for added warmth. Heritage Research has released their Sierra Nevada Ventile Parka for Fall 2011, one that takes inspiration from a 1952 photo printed in A LIFE magazine of Jack Kennedy in the Sierra Nevada mountain range wearing a classic 1950′s military mountaineering parka. It’s got all the proper details like a navy weatherproof Ventile shell, adjustable hood with removable shearling sheepskin lining, military RiRi zip under a double front placket nickel popper closure stormflap and much more. The authentic pivot sleeves allow for climbing while the four front angled hand warmer pockets will give protection when you need it most. The light tan Ventile and wool blanket lining looks tremendous and does a splended job insulating as well.

Gant has launched their first in-house fragrance aptly called “GANT”. It’s inspired in part by the New England waters and coastal living lifestyle. Pierre Dinand designed the bottle and pulled inspiration from wicker baskets that cargo ships in the old days used to transport fragile goods. If that wasn’t enough, Gant also commissioned Pierre Wulff to craft this unique fragrance formula. He chose some exclusive ingredients and created a scent that pulls in the freshness and airy sense of the ocean and combined these characteristics with dark woods and tar ropes.
The film below highlights the relationship between the two gifted talents and how they worked together. This cooperation is pretty special in itself as many times this work is very separate. Each season, Superdenim puts together a collaborative collection that looks to capture a bit of the store’s personality. SeaVees pays homage to ski pioneer Alexander Cushing with the release of the 02/60 5 Eye Trail Boot. Cushing is well known for the securing Squaw Valley as the site for the 1960 Olympic Winter Games and these boots take inspiration from that time. They’re made from aniline leather nourished with oils which will allow it to take on its own look over time. The hand-sewn Moccasin stitch features a heavy, waxed thread while the laces are made from oil stuffed rawhide leather.
