We recently had the opportunity to connect with Ariel, one-half of New York-based label Ovadia & Sons, ahead of their viewing at this month’s (capsule) show in New York. Along with his twin brother, Shimon, the duo has been able to really get some serious recognition since launching last spring. Later this month, some of the finest designers the World-over will set their sights on Paris, showcasing their work for the Fall/Winter 2012 season. Milan plenty of notable labels on display but Paris does not shy away from the spotlight. Designers like Phillip Lim, Rick Owens, Louis Vuitton, Junya Watanabe, Yves Saint Laurent and many others will be showing in Paris, reaffirming itself as a leader in the fashion world. From Italian label Camo comes an early look at their Fall 2012 collection. The casino theme of the lookbook is very fitting for the collection as the goods are featured in more muted tones that have this mysterious and private demeanor to them. “Our advice is to bet in yourself and to gamble your right card. Everyone has to be a rounder in own life, taking all the risks to success about family, job and love.” Look for more detail shots in the weeks ahead as Camo will be on display at the (capsule) tradeshow.
The fashion week season is roughly two weeks away with Milan leading the way. Some of the finest designers will be on the runway and there are a select few that we’re most looking forward to. Day one has Corneliani starting things off though we’re most excited for Ermenegildo Zegna which will be showing in the morning as well. Other notables throughout the week include Jil Sander, Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Moncler Gamme Bleu.
