Drumohr and Nick Wooster have collaborated for this this impeccably crafted mid-layer piece for fall and winter months ahead. The British knitwear brand was founded by James Paterson in southern Scotland in the 1700s and has been revered by British and European royals for decades. Nick Wooster teamed up with Drumohr to bring out the creativity with some amazing details inspired by US university wear and wintersports across a foray of products. One of the stand outs is this down padded cashmere hooded waistcoat, in traditional snowflake pattern matching.
Brooks Brothers has dropped a damn-near perfect varsity jacket for the fall. The brushed wool shell features slew of authentic detailing reminiscent of a throwback college varsity jacket. The Brooks navy body works really well with the contrasting leather sleeves, ribbed stripe mock neck collar, bottom hem, and pocket detailing. The jacket also features full quilted lining with two interior pockets.
Nordstrom and GQ have teamed up for a pop-up shop in New York during MBFW. The store will feature GQ Selects: a selection of apparel, accessories, gifts, and more, curated by the editors of GQ, along with Tommy Fazio, men’s fashion director, Nordstrom. In addition to carrying more than 50+ brands, the shop will also include a Warby Parker shop, complimentary shaves by Freeman’s Sporting Club, a Stumptown coffee bar, and more.
GQ & Nordstrom Men’s Shop is located at the Nordstrom owned Treasure & Bond store at 350 West Broadway between Grand and Broome. The pop up shop will be open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 8pm and on Sunday from 11am to 7pm. There are some great events taking place at the shop, all of which we’ve listed for your below. Union LA has taken their first delivery of footwear for the Fall 2012 season and, as you can see, they’re starting things off right. They’ve taken stock of a few high-in-demand Visvim pieces including the Grizzly Mid FOLK, Yucca Moc Mid, and FBT Shaman. Belgian label Bellerose has released their F/W ’12 lookbook, one that’s infused a ton of American influence. Since their inception in 1989, they’ve been crafting workwear-inspired menswear pieces and they’ve done a damn good job. Band of Outsiders has released looks for their upcoming Fall 2012 collection, this time commissioning actor Josh Brolin to sport the goods. The lookbook was shot at The Sunset Ranch Hollywood in Los Angeles by the label’s designer Scott Sternerg, bringing forth a Western theme to the fall lineup. More images below.
Columbus-based Homage recently teamed up with well-known Ebbets Field Flannels for their take on the classic baseball cap. They took a swooshed H and threw it against a rich red wool shell and added their logo print on the back for good measures. The result is a high-quality product made right here in the USA.
Por Vocacao has just taken stock of their largest ever drop from Buttero and it’s one worth checking out. Atop the list of products are two styles of their classic suede sneakers reworked for A/W ’12. Available in both a hi-top and low-top silhouette, the latest sneakers present the same quality construction the Italian brand is historically known for, with vegetable tanned leather (suede) uppers mounted on smooth style rubber soles and featured alongside contrast toe caps and other nifty details. For this AW12, however, Buttero have scuffed the soles a bit, giving the new sneakers a slightly broken-in look.
