Portugal-based shop Por Vocacao continues to take stock of some exceptional product and is led by a team that’s not afraid to mix notable labels with brands we’ve never heard of. Though Green George has been mentioned were lightly in conversation, Por Vocacao will carrying an extensive lineup of footwear from their upcoming Fall 2012 collection. Green George originates from Montegranaro, one of the main places for shoe production in Italy and just opposite of Buttero’s Tuscany region. Oh, and they’ve been around since the 70s, making high quality footwear based on great craftsmanship while keeping up with current trends.

In the weeks ahead, expect Por Vocacao to stock Green George’s finest offerings including these double monks as well as a few derbys, waxy suede brogues and boots. More looks of the DB’s below.

Here we have a look at New York designer Thom Browne’s Varsity Jacket for the upcoming F/W 2012 season. We’ve seen him do varsity jackets in the past but this is our personal favorite to date. The light brown tweed is so understated and works really well with the contrasting white sleeves and front pocket detailing. The ribbed collar and cuff are authentic and expected with signature red, white and blue stripes at the waist to make this a true Thom Browne piece. Look for it to be available through select retailers in the months ahead. Thom Browne’s Japanese outpost will have it for ¥142,800 JPY (~ $1,823 USD).

Herschel Supply Co. has dropped looks for their Fall 2012 collection. Though the core lineup of styles hasn’t changed, the amount of detail and the infusion of new fabrics and prints throughout really takes the brand to new heights. Some desert camo is seen as well as paisley lining on some of the pieces. Look for the Fall/Winter 2012 collection to be available in the months ahead through select retailers as well as through the Herschel Supply Co. online shop.

Wyoming-based Rocky Mountain Featherbed recently teamed up with Japan’s BEAMS for this small lineup of men’s vests for the upcoming F/W 2012 season. The pieces range in fabric from nylon and cotton to leather and denim with hints of corduroy and other fine textures. Japanese label Markaware unveils its F/W ’12 collection through their seasonal lookbook. With inspiration coming from Claude Lelouch’s 1966 French classic film A Man and a Woman, or Un Homme et une Femme, the collection blends sartorial essentials such as tailored coats, fine suiting in heavier weights for the colder months ahead, and other fine pieces to complement the core offerings such as fitted shirts and pants. While Pitti is taking place in Florence, some of retailers are giving us the opportunity to grab some Fall 2012 offerings a bit early. Frans Boone has taken stock of a ton of Pre-fall product, including a heavy dose of Brunello Cucinelli. Though the offerings are vast, we’ve really taken a liking to these wool, cashmere, and cotton pochettes from the Italian label. A few solid ones with contrasting trimmings as well as two of the polka dot print variety, the pieces are equal parts modern and elegant. Purchase them now through Frans Boone.

From Jan-Jan Van Essche comes the designer’s third collection, and an impressive one at that. There’s an unparalleled comfort to the offerings, though it doesn’t come at expense of quality or detail. Van Essche makes it look quite effortless and the styling throughout the preview shots is really well done as well. Look for Jan-Jan Van Essche‘s “In Awe” annual collection to launch on June 29th 2012.

Italian label Marni drops styled looks of their upcoming Fall/Winter 2012 collection. The offerings are balanced and well-designed with fit and precision defining the lineup. Dark colors lead the charge though there’s a hint of color seen through shirting and accessories.
